Has anybody tryed that already?

I really like the characteristic tone of the Tele neck pup, warm, fat and bright alltogether, but I also like the tone of a humbucker, maybe even better in the neck than in the bridge position. With a bit of overdrive a HB will quickly sound muddy where a Tele neck will be just fat and powerfull. With a Fat Tele I still miss the Tele neck tone.
Having installed the 4 way switch I started to wonder what tone would I get from... two Tele neck pups in serie next to each other  with a wiring where you actually can add the extra pup to the traditional one.
I plan to try that one of these days in a Squier that's already routed for HB in the neck but I need to buy an extra pup.

Has anybody tryed that setup already?

how about using a 5-way switch. That way you can have bridge, bridge + HB(par), HB(par), HB (ser), 1/2 HB (like a single)

and a 5-way is about $5 cheaper than a 4-way.

just a wacky though...

...just a wacky though...
Not so wacky since I had the same :D
Just wondering if a normal 5 way switch will do or would I need the megaswitch?
Any Idea if the sound is worth the experiment?
