String tension on new Tele build

I've recently put together a new Tele using various parts. Everything fits and it intonates correctly however the guitar frets out all along the neck and the strings feel very slinky as if there is not enough pull or tension on them. It has the classic 3 saddle bridge the they are positioned correctly with the scale length of the guitar and the string height I believe is correct. I've also adjusted the truss rod to give some relief on the neck but it still is barely playable. Any ideas?

I would look towards Saddle Height, and the possibility of a Neck Shim.

If you do a search on Neck Shim, you should find Mucho Info.

+1. Could also be that the neck pocket is not deep enough.

Yes that issue seems more like an issue with the neck pocket depth being too shallow. A shim would conceivably make it worse..

The shim is shaped like a wedge with the fat part toward the headstock. This creates an angle that gives the strings clearance.

I stand corrected.
