A sell out? What exactly is she supposed to be selling out? "Man, she used to be credible when she worked in an office - but now she's doing these video reviews she's gone commercial" Sheesh!

She's doing reviews - which are reasonably informative - and showing a bit of bod, which is reasonably hot.

What's not to like? I'd rather watch her than some hairy arsed wannabe shredder waffling over half the review and showcasing their "chops" for the rest of it.

Unfortunately when dealing with fuzz boxes and You Tube audio, they eventually tend to sound the same but we all know that.

I have to say that I am glad that there is a female getting involved in something that is so male dominated. I could do without the provocative photos. Not becuase I'm a prude but becuase it just isn't really necessary and kind of insulting to other women involved in the music business.

Personally I would rather watch Brett Kingman. At least he takes the process seriously and with an analytical approach. And I have to say he and Andy at PGS have way better chops.

She's not a great player..... but after all, some of this is SHOW BUSINESS you know.

I never watch the gear demos. They're usually boring to me. At least hers was sort of kitchy. But, like all of them, I turned it off after just a little while.

Besides, I know me well enough, that when i get a new pedal, most of the time i end up setting it to get the two or three basic sounds that I like to use. Its probably not going to end up sound all that much different from the 45 other pedals I have to do more or less the same thing.

What is even more upsetting is people falling for crap like this, "Oh hur hur she's hot. YEAH!" i'm not as stoked as a lot of you guys are about effects...i've watched some demos, maybe around 40(?), including some of hers. she's the only one i've seen that goes thru the whole pedal...knobs maxed out, switches switched, guitar volumes rolled back, never cares about feedback from gain, and she does riffs, good or bad, they're still riffs..she doesn't find a favorite sound and play leads. i'm happy when someone finds their sound, but i'd rather hear more of the pedal...i saw a demo of the gfs dual green thing and the kid never touched the knobs! and a bunch of you thanked the kid...check out the pgs demo for the double muff. was that as thorough as any of this chick's demos? i say more power to her, and she's funny,too....no, she's not my daughter

It's the quasi naked pictures (which, as it's been pointed out, might not be her). It's a super tacky ploy to take advantage of a very male orientated market, some view her whole persona as sexist.

It's her body, her gender and her business. I couldn't care less what she does I only wish people wouldn't buy into it so easily, it's a little lame.

Sexualised representations of women aren't sexist per se - its contextual. If women are presented, or present themselves, as purely sexual objects without other definition or merit you could argue it is sexist - but this is a chick who is holding her own in what is a male dominated genre and at the same time using her sexuality to get a few more hits. Being sexy isn't sexist.

I would argue that a woman is quite capable of being sexy without getting her breasts out and cracking bad sex jokes, it's a sad day when innuendo is used like a sledge hammer. I just wish she had a bit of class is all.
Also I would say that her sexual image is pretty much the sole reason why anybody noticed her in the first place, not because she is both a woman and a decent gear reviewer. I would also say that the reaction on TGP is exactly why most women don't do gear reviews, they automatically come under 10x the scrutiny that a man would, mostly by idiots. Nobody really wants to deal with that.

I am certainly a male attracted to females and females only, but that's not very attractive to me. It's kinda' tacky and tasteless. She'd probably be more attractive and intriguing to me if she behaved like a normal girl. But, to each his own. Who am I to criticize what people get off to?

Anyway, I watched a bit of the vid, and she's not a very good player or demo-er (to me). I'm not going to go all elitist on her for that, but what I'm getting at is there is no substance to any of this. But what is Youtube if not a haven for shameless attention whores?

If some guys think she's sexy without seeing what she looks like, she's doing a good job of creating the illusion, which is I think exactly what she's trying to do. It's show business! So what if she's really hot or not, she's creating attention with the mystery.

Classy way to get viewers (not)......

Classy is over rated. In what way is this less classy than a bloke calling the pedal Big Muff in the first place? Shes just actualising the sexist sales gimmick - more power to her I say.

she needs to improve the lighting, and perhaps sound quality. Making videos is hard work.

I've never seen most of the guy's crotch in his ads. He had more class. People really cross a bad line when they display their own crotch in ad campaign.

Alright, she lost me there. "Fine line between..." Spinal Tap
That's just old and stale. Wouldn't be the first time I woke up, looked at what I did last night, and silently let myself out.

Yeah I noticed the man hands and the big feet. Has anybody seen "her" throat? Just curious if she has a large Adam's Apple

'She had man hands'
"Man hands?"
'The hands of a man'

She sounds just like Karen Black!

How is it a sales pitch? She's not selling pedals or working for anyone, is she?

It seems like she's just someone who wants to make gear videos. So what? She can do whatever she wants as far as I'm concerned.

Look at the mess of shadows on near her hand area. It's a pretty terrible photoshop job.

EDIT: I am also going to say that her "signature ring" looks tacked on as well.

5 days and people here are still talking about her, or him, or it, or whatever. For all the "disgust" on this board, it sure is generating a lot of chatter. You know, some people say any publicity is good publicity. Maybe the best thing to do is just "Move along, nothing to see here...."

Well, for that matter everybody knows Gearmanndude wears those boots so you won't see his delicate little lady feet. Jeezus, you people.

I love how most of you repeated the "crotch shot" from studio 1087 post.

Because I enjoyed music and wanted to make my own. I think if you did it for any other reason, then it's not the right reason. (IMO)

I picked one up cuz I thought Mark Knopfler was mean as. My first guitar was a red squier strat (as you can imagine) and then I discovered distortion.

This post is completely irrelevant.
