Ive only been playing for approximately a year now so i'm am still pretty new to guitars. I acquired a vintage 1970's MANN guitar and i wanted to find more information about them. I have looked on the internet to find other guitars with a similar shape as mine but the closest ive come is one that 80% similar and that's because of pickups, frets and dials. Ive attached a picture so if someone could help me out that would be appreciated. :) It came with the original hard case and it has a fuzzy yellow interior. . On the back of the tuning pegs there are stars. if you need more pics or info to assist me, just let me know. Thanks :)

My intergoogling turned up one interesting thread over in an Ibanez forum:

Scroll down to the second-to-last post.
Bottom line is Mann was initially a Fuji Gen Gakki-made guitar, very similar to (if not identical to) Ibanez of the 70's. That's why they star-tuners look so familiar.
They were exported into Canada. I've yet to see the name of the actual distributor.
There also appear to be some later-model Mann guitars made by a Korean outfit. check the thread (above) for a shot of the headstock inlay/decal to help suss out which you have.
As far as the model, you might try finding old Ibanez catalogs from the 70's and look for your guitar's bodystyle. Finding a 70's Mann catalog in Canucksville may be a bit more difficult.

Very classic looking vintage. Do they still produce similar ones?

Gotta ask: How does it sound plugged-in?
Looks like it would make a cool guitar for slide.
