Dr. Hook, the Stampeders, quite a weekend

Local country~rock festival, saw 8 bands over three days, ears are still ringing. Friday's headliner was Dr. Hook (Ray Sawyer and his band, really) Last night was The Stampeders (classic Canadian band for those who wouldn't know)

Plenty of telecaster twang, I think every band had someone on a tele

I used to love the Stampeders when I was a kid. I was always struck how they had these great songs but no decent guitar solos in them.

Sweet guitar solo and drum solo last night during 'Wild Eyes'

Heard about the show, but couldn't get away. I hope the turnout was good. Great memories of the stapmeders.

Both nights sold old, but it was a small venue
