Howdy, tried posting in the strat forum but no takers..... well I got a pretty sonic blue blacktop strat last month. Fit, finish and playability is great! And sorry no pics as of right now my only computer is my iPhone. But, I got a wild hair and ordered a tv jones classic in for the bridge and let me tell you, they're not cheap but dang does it sound unbelievable. Kept the stock neck humbucker but wired with a volume for each pickup and a master tone. What a combo, goes from twang to smooth neck humbucker. But the real winner is both together. Fat or twangy as you want it by blending the volumes. Man I can't tell you how good this sounds I just wish I had the capability to post some audio/video. My tech used the english mount but had to sand it to lower the profile for it to fit. Could not be happier. Anyone else try this?

I've thought about a pair of TV Jones in my Blacktop Telecaster. I'm still really uncertain what approach to take in the long run. I'd love to hear some sound clips if you could post them. I love humbuckers, but I also like nice chimey cleans. Would you say you get this from the TV Jones?

Yes!!!

I have a TV jones in the bridge and a lipstick pup in the neck and it sounds fantastic!

I can get the bright twang no problem but also have absolutely no trouble dialing in some humbucker growl!

It is the best of both worlds without any compromise in my opinion, but YMMV!

(I recommend putting the humbucker in the bridge only)

But yea the tv jones classic actually to my ears sounds like a good Telly bridge pickup run through a compressor. The stock neck pickup doesn't over power the jones if anyone is wondering. Together and both volumes at 10 it sounds like the bridge but with more base. Still very happy with it. And by the way the wiring is 1: bridge 2: bridge and outer neck coil 3: bridge and full humbucker 4: outer neck coil 5: full humbucker
