My FSR Western tele has a grounding issue that I can't seem to resolve. It does the somewhat normal thing of humming unless I'm touching the strings except much, much worse than normal. Very severe buzzing! Anyway, I took 'er apart this morning and noticed the bridge ground was not very well anchored to the bridge pickup screw. So, I soldered it good and solid to the bridge. After I put it back together it's still doing it. Checked for cold joints, connections to pots, etc. Everything looks good. Now I notice when I touch the neck p'up cover it gets louder. Don't know if it did that before or not, but I don't remember it doing that. Does that mean the neck pup cover is not grounded? I really like this tele alot but I don't play it often and especially not live because it hums/ buzzes so bad. Anyone got any advice? Thanks.

Sounds like the jack is reversed or bad.
