Jazzing up your blues: nifty little jazz/blues lick going from I7 to IV7

Hi all,

I've been absent from posting in here as I was recovering from yet another operation.
Thought I might post a few things that I think people might like to learn.

Here is a nifty little lick that takes you from I7 to IV7 for a dominant blues type thing.
There is some good stuff contained in here- essentially it outlines an A7 arpeggio with a few passing notes (b5 to 5 in the triplet).
The rest is Mixolydian.

Also try lines based around Mixolydian b6- very mysterious mode to use (mode 5 of melodic minor)

I did a few takes of it so you can hear how it should sound.
At some stage I'll try to integrate it into a backing track but this should allow you to hear it at least.

Hope you like it.

I do like it James. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

Feel better soon.

All right, who killed the 'Do you believe in ghosts' thread?

Look for a mod humming " 'busting makes me feel good".

EDIT: I also notice the "music for the end of the world" thread disappeared, too.

Thanks guys.

I took another look at it today- I guess I would probably use the line as a V7 to I in D more than I would use it in a blues- but it is a nice line anyway.

I'm packing for a trip today but if I get time I will alter the Sibelius pic to reflect this.
Sorry- not sure where my head was yesterday- note to self, think before posting.
