Where are all the Vox AC15H1TV owners?
Using the search, I couldn't find a club for these. The AC15CC club really has no info and is not the same amp at all. The combination of the Top Boost circuit and the EF86 circuit are just awesome. No reverb or trem, but that is fine with me. I have the Strymon blueSky Reverberator, a Fender Tube Reverb, and a Dunlop Tremolo, so I am all set!
I have the AC15H1TVL. This is the Limited Edition oil-rubbed mahogany combo with Celestion Blue.
Pics to come soon. Believe it or not, I have had it for a few months but have gotten around to taking a picture of it. I guess its cause I am too busy playing it!
Found it at Buzzy Levine's Lark Street Music in NJ (larkstreetmusic.com) via an ad in Vintage Guitar magazine. Call him up, talked about it, made an offer and he shipped it to me for a good price. He knew the original owner as well, so I knew it was in good shape. Nice guy and great to buy from.
Opened it up and it was like new. No dings, no smells other than the oiled mahogany. Nice!
Serial number 499 out of 500.
Sounds great! Could use some new tubes soon, as I have put 30 hours on it so far and it came with the original tubes. I bought it based on my friend's AC15H1TV in the regular blond covering. His sounded so good, I wanted one of my own and was happy to find this limited version for just a little more than the regular was going for.
I hope to see more in this thread.
Best,
Scott
