pickguard shielding ???

i was looking for some input on shielding . i have shielded the pickup and control cavs with copper foil it is .003 thick 40 guage. what i was needing to know do i need to cover the entire back of the pick guard and also the bottom of the control plate or I'm i getting carried away

or would aluminum foil work fine

If the control plate is metal your fine. Aluminum is fine too. Aluminum can be difficult to solder... that doesn't neccesarily apply to a pickguard application though.
