Today I have two bbenders. The first one is from 1996 and I bought it in 1997, serial no: N6173755. It has a thin neck and i like that very much. I just bought a new one and I don't know when it was made. Serial no Z200486686. Can anyone help me with what year it was manufactured? I don't like the neck on the new one. How many neck alternatives are there?
The sound is thicker on the old one.
Does anyone know where I can buy the drop D thing.
The one I have i bought one Ebay

Yes, 2002

I had a 1997 B bender and a 2001 at the same time for a while.

the 1997 was alder and the 2001 poplar. There's one tone difference possibility. The necks felt the same profile, but the finish was tinted and felt smoother than the "dusty satin " 2001

What pickups are you using? I am positive that you could get whatever sound you want from an aftermarket set. I hate stock Fender pickups and changed both guitars' pickups.

That D drop is a Timara. www.guitarpickle.com
