What does a McVay G-Bender look like on the back?

Hey everybody,

First off, I have 2 Crook Customs with G-Benders on both, but when I received them from Bill Crook, the benders were already installed and the paint and everything was on the back with no signs of cutting into the body or any of that. My question is: do they cut the body to route for the bender, then cover it with something, or does it stay open? Just curious, because I want a G-bender on my partscaster that has a Warmoth body. Pics would be great, thanks!

The mcvay's routing and drilling are all concealed by the clever locations of necessary parts.

1. Bender finger routing is done under bridge plate
2. Actuator mechanism, under neck plate
3. Threaded rod between actuator , inside the long hole drilled for the tension adjustment and tuning screw. there is no huge cavity routing like a Parsons type bender.

The link has a gallery of these areas somewhat taken apart.

Charlie is also the nicest genuine person. I have spoken with him many times and he modded a faulty Bill Bores bender to work better for me. I have two builds going now, one if not both will be getting McVay benders.
