His/her statistics were kind of off. Person has only been a member since Nov 10.

Yet...this person has not posted anywhere on the forum, that I was able to tell through the search feature.

We were just talking about this yesterday and we did not get an answer from TDPRI about it, but IMO I would not buy anything from anybody with these stats. It kinda has hacker written all over it IMO. I was actually looking at some Don Mare Pickups a while back and the person had the same stats and it put me off from buying them. If you go to members list you will also notice there is like and entire page of people that have EXACTLY the same amount of posts all in the BILLIONS..

Yep, I agree. I wouldn't buy anything from a user with stats like that. I think it should be made mandatory to be on tdpri a while and actually post/make yourself known to people before trying to sell something.

I would really like to hear from TDPRI about this and if they know what is going on. I am with you about the classifieds as well, not to take anything away from new users, but it is just to easy in this day and age to take advantage of people. I would feel a lot better buying something from somebody who posts on here often. I mean it kinda looks bad if you joined and have 1 post and are selling something in the classifieds...

I know...some people will do just about anything to circumvent those Ebay seller fees.

It just looks like you have something to sell and you googled and found a potential market to sell into. Beyond that, you need to do some investigating to see who the person is and what the deal is....

it doesn't mean good or bad... it is just a single point of data.

I agree. They aren't necessarily a bad person. But that kind of mentality....just signing up on a forum with only an intent to sell an item raises a couple of flags. People here have got burned in situations like that in the past that I have read about.

Further investigating should always be the case...like we're doing now.

There's nothing to hear from me about. I've already explained the 4 billion post thing half a dozen times.

As to, joining just to post a Classified Ad it happens all the time -- it doesn't mean anything is wrong -- but it can mean everything is wrong.

Let the buyer beware.
