Hi
have taken some photos of my guitar and want to uploead the onto a thread for help but i dojnt know how to do it,
i get how to post a picture from a webpage useing a ULR but how do you do it from a photo saved on a computer.

You can't. If you don't have web hosting account, there are numerous free image/filesharing sites available and many of them don't even require a signup. Just do web search for image hosting.

click on the advanced button...
you'll see a paper clip icon,
click on it and attach your picture.
there are some size limits, but it should work fine!

Sure you can. Above the window you are typing your message in click the paper clip icon. This opens the manage attachments window. Click one of the "browse" buttons and locate the file on your computer. Click "upload."
Now back to the message window. When you click on the downward pointing arrow to the right of the paper clip your picture(s) will be listed.
Just click on one to include it in your post!

Here's another good way. Click on "Photos" on the menubar above. Upload photos to your hearts content to the TDPRI Photo Gallery. Then look under your photos and you'll find embeddable links right there -- IMG codes attached and all. (Use the BBCODE links not the HMTL links).

The downside of doing it this way is that the picture can only bee seen by people who are logged in.
