I checked all 8 pages of the Club section and didn't find one, so I guess I'll start.

Really fun guitars. This one's going to get some different pickups, but only because I bought this guitar with swapping pickups in mind. I might just have to buy another one of these in the future because I like this one so much as-is.

Wow, I have one too! Great instrument. It doesn't get a whole lot of play time, maybe because there are too many other instruments in the house.

Found it at a very small student/school band music store I used to frequent when a good friends son worked there. At the time I could barely play 7 chords in standard tuning. It made playing those 7 chords pretty easy and that was a selling point for me for sure.

Ya sure don't see them often. Extremely versatile instruments.

I'm lost in blues music with mostly open tuning and lots of slide.

One of the nicest points on this guitar is the neck. That big ol' radius is a dream for slide work.

I can't believe they're not more popular. Fit & finish is top shelf. I really like the SD humbuckers. Now that I've learned how to use the amp controls better, the Pearly Gates pu is very sweet sounding.

Thanks for opening the door.

Got pics? They are always appreciated in a "Club" thread.

Mine is black cherryburst. I love it. It is one of the lightest solid body guitars I have ever played, especially considering that it's mahogany.

What is funny though, is that the guitar came to me with the neck and bridge pickups SWAPPED. At first I was thinking of switching them back the right way, but after playing it I kind of realized that I liked the quirky sound it presented.

Love the coil tap. Love it.

Like a les paul/tele Hybrid. Cool painted headstock too! Don't have a pic now, but this is it:

Yeah, it's really nice.
Actually I was thinking about black cherryburst. But this guitar was a birthday gift from my wife. So she's selected an amber one.

I've got one in Crimson. Wondeerful guitar at a great price. IMO the pickups are superb, especially the coil taps. FWIW, the "pearly gates plus" is a Fender exclusive and is really just a hot wind on a SH-1 '59. The Pearly Gates has Alnico V magnets; the PGP and 59 have Alnico II.

Really fun guitars. This one's going to get some different pickups, but only because I bought this guitar with swapping pickups in mind. I might just have to buy another one of these in the future because I like this one so much as-is.

If you do change the pickups, be sure to save the originals. For some reason they sell cheap on ebay, but they are a really fine combination.

I've named mine Cherry. She's the "looker" in my collection. Marie (see avatar) is a Pinup Guitar - she's my "player".

Thanks for starting the thread.

I have the black cherry burst as well. No pictures yet, but man I love the versatility of this guitar. Mine is named Ebony Rose.... Wife got it for me for our 20th Anniversary.

I got mine, Johnny, for Christmas in 2008 as a gift to myself. Found it at a Pawn Shop, with a HSC and a horribly faulty neck pup. Mine is an older model with a Fender Black Canyon in the neck, and a Fender Atomic II in the bridge. Bought a SD JB Jazz set, and still paid less than if they knew what it was or if I got it new.

Mine has this really good low action, buzzes on the first few frets but it don't come through the amp. I like the big frets, and contoured body shape. The weight just blows absolutely everyone away when they first pick it up. Definitely a players guitar if there ever was one.

I tell people it's more like a SG than a Tele or a Les Paul. Only real problems I find with it is the countersunk pots, would love to wire it like a Gibson...might as well, its already more than halfway there. Also doesn't seem like it'd be thick enough for a trem, maybe an older Kahler, a Bigsby would just look weird on it.

I think I'm going to try the fez mod... I'll do my best to get some a/b vid's up.

Hope I didn't miss anything,

James
