Rebel 90 phase issue

OK, so my new neck Rebel 90 looks to be out of phase with the mini humbucker in the bridge of my modded Squier Tele Custom. Rats.

Has anyone opened one of these up and flipped the magnets yet? It looks like it might be the easiest solution (mini hum has only two wires, just like the braid+hot of the Rebel 90), but I've never tried this myself...just a little worried about desoldering the case and finding myself elbow-deep in wax!

Any gotchas I need to be aware of before I dive in? Any other suggestions?

Is one of the leads connected to the case ?

Yep, sure was...or rather to the baseplate which was soldered to the case.

I went ahead and opened it up...came apart fairly easily. Magnets look to be fairly well attached to the base of the bobbin. I tried applying rather more pressure than seemed necessary, and gave up! It was actually a pretty simple job to desolder the wires coming from the coil and flip them...hot to base/braid, and vice versa. Same result as the magnet flip, and I didn't get overly waxed up making the change.

Sounding good, now!
