Second-hand Multibender in NL

If anyone is interested, there's a guy trying to sell a second-hand Duesenberg Multibender in the Netherlands (search on marktplaats.nl).
Looks a good deal.

I was tempted, but I've converted my Tele with hipshot to operate with palm levers, does the same kind of thing, so I don't need the multibender.
And I've just bought a pedal steel, so I don't need it.
Will any one tell me I don't need it, please...

Gladly!

You don't need it.

I'm lying, of course. But you asked so nicely.

Very well made unit. Pictured is a lap steel I recently sold to a friend, because I wasn't gigging it enough. I have said that if he's ever selling it, I'd like first refusal on it...

No tuning hassles and smooth operation. You might actually want to buy that advertised one, you know(!)

...and since when has NEEDING it had anything to do with GETTING it???

Colin,

thank you for the heads-up. Just placed a bid on it.

Greetings -
Luther

P. S.: You don't need it, btw. ;)

... too late, got it! :)

But seriously: Meanwhile owning a pedal steel, you really don't need this.

Best wishes!

Actually, I do own a pedal steel - and that's why I also own a Multibender (on a lap steel); we play a lot of small cafes/bars, where usually there's simply no space at all on stage (IF there is a stage at all...), and with my Multibender lap steel I can do a lot of the basic PSG AB-pedal stuff on a much smaller, more portable instrument...

RomanS,

alright, wouldn't have thought a lap with palm levers can be an - even basic - substitute to a pedal steel.

Best wishes

Well, it is indeed just a BASIC substitute - you won't be playing Lloyd Green solos with the Multibender; but simple I-IV chord changes, or moving between major and minor chords - all stuff that you'd use the A and B pedal for on your PSG - can be done with the Multibender...
