'97 cali series b-bender

here are some (low res) pics of my fiesta red bender. a friend of mine designed, fabricated and installed the parts. I'm not any good at it, yet, but I'm having fun learning.

wow. As many parts as a clock. I'm dying to know more of it. Hows it seem to work? It looks well designed. complex

It does look very cool and well made. You can see the basic functionality with the strap and hub levers connected together with the long rod...but the series of springs looks very confusing. What is the function and reason for all of the springs?
