Does any one have any experience with the H&K Red Box Classic amp simulator? I am looking to use something similar to connect my pedal board to the mixer board without using an amp. I know about the Tech 21 Sansamp, but would like to use the pedals on my board. I believe that the Red Box has the option of a 2x12 combo or 4x12 cabinet.
Any comments?

Yeah I am using one of these. I am using the mkIII version, which isn't the most current one. It does the job well at taking the line out for a SS amp into the house PA. I haven't tried it with a tube amp yet. Also, I couldn't really tell much difference between the combo or 4x12 cabinet setting. It might be different in different venues though.

You can use your other pedals with the Tech 21 "Character Series" pedals. Search threads here (stompbox and recording sub-forums, too) and online for them (Blonde, Leeds, British, etc., seem to be popular). Of course, Line6 POD HD, and similar from other vendors, can be used with just the amp simulation, and they have effects loops, too.
