Anyone get one of the new xaviere LP juniors/specials?

The price is just right to where I can talk myself into one. Set neck, see through TV finish... I'm going to have to get one I think.

I went on their site and didn't see anything that looked like a Jr or special. Could you
post a link?

The Jr's

The Specials

I'm gassing for one pretty badly myself. Just need to decide between the Jr. and the Special. It's going to be a tough decision.

I think I will probably go with the Junior. There are some other options for cheap les paul style with 2 pickups, but set-neck juniors for that price are hard to find. Especially that dead-on... just fantatsic looking!

I have a feeling I better jump on one soon, they are bound to sell out rapidly.

The lower horn looks too pointy to me.

Those are blems/seconds. But...how bad could they be?

I'm torn between the Xavier/GFS and the SX and the Agile (both by Rondo Music). All of them look sweet. I've actually played one of the Agiles and it's awesome. The bound neck feels great. Very "convincingly Gibson" (I think they're $279). A bandmate has it, so I probably wouldn't get the exact model because of that. The other two look just as sweet to me, tough.

I own a 500 series LP that is a blem model of the Xavier series. Posted a pic of the neck tenon here and without a doubt the BEST fit on a long neck tenon I have ever seen. Pickups are excellent too, PAT Crunch or some such name. I am telling ya it blows Epi's out of the water and I have owned several Epi's too.

I have also owned a Agile 2000 root beer burst and again a very very well made guitar. Construction wise a bit heavier duty than the Xavier. Definitely heavier I mean like 11lbs.

I own some Sx guitars too, tele's and a tele thinline which I think is currently my favorite guitar to play. Very musical this guitar. Looks great, frets do not need any attention and the only thing I have done is to replace the neck pickup cause it appeared to have a vintage neck pup in it and it was just a bit to laid back for me.

Now all that being said if I had to choose right now which one to keep it would be the thinline, as I like it that much. I sold the Agile a few months back and the Xavier is the guitar I play after I put the thin line down. Both are extremely well made, sound excellent and look good. thanks

Well......the headstock shape, logo, truss rod cover, tuners, and fretboard markers don't look right either...but I don't think the OP is looking for an exact replica of a Gibson (nor could he expect one at this price).

But it looks pretty darn good and qualifies as a LP Junior style in my books!

Should get you that vibe for sure.

400-440 jr style is nice but for the extra $30 I would much rather have the carved top 500-510 LP and not a blem flat top with single pup.

You know, Gibson's lawyer notice those things too. Hence the pointy cutaway and different headstock and such.

I own the SX GG1 JR

Mine is red like the agile listed above

I like the neck on mine, but had to have some fret work done(cost $25). The pickups sound great clean, especially in the middle position. They also sound great on the dirty channel though that is not my cup of tea. It's a lot of guitar for only $129.00 The neck is thicker, almost like an acoustic guitar but not quite that thick. I'm extremely pleased with mine, particularly for the price. Other than having it setup(some fret work) you will get a great guitar.

Good god man, I did NOT need to see that.:shock: I cannot pass up 50 dollars off. TV junior blem was just ordered. Wife will kill me, but I'll hide behind my new mahogany plank

I have an XV-550 and an XV-560 that were essentially unplayable until I did a fret-level; after that, though, and some other tweaks, I like them a lot.

Doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the same experience with those LP-style Xavieres. Here are my 550 & 560:

What's the neck profile like on those Xaviers? I've heard they're very thick/fat.

Fairly chunky on mine, similar to my '95 Les Paul Standard which has the '50s profile...the Xavieres have a bit less shoulder.
