I used to be on the forum a while back, but I lost my old email and the id, so I said oh well, it's been a few years, dad passed away and I had to sell everything off to pay for funeral expenses.

but now I am back saying Hello.

just picked up a Fender Telecaster Ford Mustang Edition, got it from Dave's Guitars, going to overhaul the monster like I always do with most of my guitars.

Already got most of the grocery list done.

Joe Barden Bridge, the old one before ALLPARTS bought them out, 4 way switch, new cts pots, cloth wire, electro socket jack, 52 reissue string tree,
wd dome knobs with the red jem, torres engineering Tele pickups, sangamo capacitor, and a treble bleed mod.

yes I am nuts :)

I have a new fender rootbeer sparkle MIM strat I am going to redo also, but that's later on.

Hello George. I am somewhat of a bodybuilder in that I used to live directly behind Daves Guitar shop while going to college. An happy place full of good people. Did you get the guitar at the store or through their site? If you are ever there I encourage you to visit the upstairs. There is a ton of vintage equipment. Custom color Strats with Hang Tags. Double neck rickenbachers. Brown Fenders Tweed Fenders etc etc. I am not on steroids, for this is really true!

sjwieczorkow: as for Dave's he's always been straight up and honest with me, I have been buying off and on from him for about 20 years, this one I got through the site this time I live in Indiana and Wisconsin is a drive, but Dave's word has always been good as gold with me so I said why not.

as for he upstairs, yes it is real, I actually owned a guitar Dave pulled some strings for me to get, an original 1979 Fender Strat, Black, Dead mint with the case and hang tags,
I remember paying $1,200 back in 1998 for it ? something like that, I sold it in 2008 for $4,500 , one of the ones that made me cry for selling it, but I had to come up with money for dad, so some toys had to go.

but I am starting off fresh again, just got the Telecaster, the rootbeer sparkle stratocaster, and hopefully soon a Esp Edwards LP.
