Proving USA tele Pup

I recently sold the pickups out of my MIA tele. I had swapped them out personally a few years ago and they were just collecting dust. So I decided to sell them on eBay. The guy who wound up with the neck pup disputes that they are USA because of the wiring color. My question is this:
Aside from the fact that I am the guy who took them out of a USA tele, how can I prove what the pickup is?

I have contacted him and he said:
"I read that the blue and white wire leads are indications that the pickup is MIM. The Stratosphere has them for sale with blue and white leads. I asked them where the pickup was made and they responded, Mexico."

Searching the TDPRI forum I couldn't find anything that was as easy as blue=MIM. I still have the guitar and the serial # to look up and compare to the schematic to see if the color code can put this to bed. Otherwise, I just can't figure it out. I took those pups out!

Any advice/insight is welcome!
Chris

It is a 2002-03 according the the s/n with vintage hardware (the small tuning buttons and the three chrome bridge saddles. But there is a snag. I have looked at every schematic Fender has for American teles and none of them label the neck pup with blue/white wires! But I've seen it with my own eyes! What's up?

Are you sure it isn't a HWY 1 ?...and not an American Series ?

That's the one thanks. I didn't think to look at that one. I didn't know that hwy 1s were USA made so I didn't see it. Here is the schematic that solves my riddle:
http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams/telecaster/011-1200_02A_SISD.pdf
It has USA on the headstock and blue and white neck pup wires. Mine is also "honey blonde" which is listed on the parts list. Mine also has the chrome saddles like the CAD drawing.

Thanks for the help!
