Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 04:27 PM Well, even the best of us can succumb to temptation, and indeed so have I.
But I got a really cool new guitar!
It's a custom ordered Heritage H535 in antique natural over flame maple and P-90 pickups.
The sound will make you grin. If I was any happier with it, I'd have to put down some newspaper.
The pics don't do it justice. I'm no phtotgrapher.

drf64 January 8th, 2011, 04:39 PM Excellent! Superbly crafted in my home town. I have an Eagle, 555, 150 Special and I just bought a '95 HFT-335, which is an acoustic flat top! Enjoy!

Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 04:47 PM Thanks. The pictures really don't show how beautiful the flame is....and it sounds amazing.
Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 04:48 PM Telenator,
I knew you had one. I've been wanting one for a while. Glad I was able to make the deal on it.

Congrates on a sweet guitar!
dilver January 8th, 2011, 07:12 PM Gorgeous. How about some details... Is that flame maple all around and a mahogany neck? How's the neck? Fret size?
Congrats!!!
Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 07:29 PM Gorgeous. How about some details... Is that flame maple all around and a mahogany neck? How's the neck? Fret size?
Congrats!!!
Yes, it's flame maple all around and a mahogany neck. The pictures don't really show it, but it has a golden brown tint to the finish. The neck is about like the one on my LP Studio; I'd call it medium. It's definitely a little bigger than a slim taper. As far as fret size, I think they are medium jumbo, I got .104 wide, and .45 to .5 high...it's harder to get an accurate height measurement.
Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 07:39 PM Telenator,
Does the model you have have a smaller body, or a slightly different shape?
Guit-jitsu January 8th, 2011, 07:45 PM Very cool!! Beautiful grain, classic shape, unique twist. I'd say she's a keeper!
Joe-Bob January 8th, 2011, 07:51 PM Very cool!! Beautiful grain, classic shape, unique twist. I'd say she's a keeper!
Oh, yeah! It's a keeper for sure.
I haven't had a chance to swap out the strings yet, but I'll probably do that tomorrow, and put my tweaks on the setup. Right now, the action is just a tad high over what I prefer.
studio1087 January 8th, 2011, 07:58 PM Beautiful guitar. Congratulations. Plucky P90 joy.
Canuckcaster January 8th, 2011, 08:03 PM That's the thing about GAS. Now I have it for yet another guitar that I never knew you could get. I'm at a loss here.
Congrats,
CC
Brian L January 8th, 2011, 08:09 PM That is a real pretty guitar!
Love those P90's.
Congratulations
Telenator January 8th, 2011, 09:33 PM Telenator,
Does the model you have have a smaller body, or a slightly different shape?
Yes, mine is smaller. It's a Blues Deluxe which is the same size as their Prospect model.
imwjl January 8th, 2011, 09:47 PM Awesome. Enjoy it in good health.
elicross January 8th, 2011, 09:50 PM Those wide expanses of flame maple have me drooling.

Yes, you're right. I'm really glad I was able to get it. If I was any happier about it, I'd have to put down some newspapers.

I'll second that! When are we getting together again?
stantheman January 10th, 2011, 01:11 PM Breathtaking Kalamazoo Girl Joe!!!!!!!!!
She's a masterpiece - 50 years from now jaws will still be dropping and drool buckets filling.
I've got a little experience with Double-Cut Thinlines and will tell You without any reservation without even having to Play Her that She's a Thoroughbred.
With Guild gone riding into The Sunset it's obvious to me that Heritage is taking full advantage of the situation, I mean to say where else in The Lower 48 can a Player get something like what Joe-Bob got without having to plunk down fortyfive hundred?!!!
I've always liked Heritage but they really got it happening as in - I'd rather take that Home than any other doublecut thinline out there...
Blown away.
Dan German January 10th, 2011, 01:43 PM If I was any happier with it, I'd have to put down some newspaper.
Dang, you've got more restraint than I do. Just looking at the pics makes me wish I'd put newspaper down first.
Joe-Bob January 10th, 2011, 02:44 PM I'll second that! When are we getting together again?
Francis did say something about an open mike night in like 3 weeks...
Telarkaster January 10th, 2011, 04:17 PM New awesome guitar is new and awesome. Congratulations, I'm really happy for you! I love p90s.
Joe-Bob January 10th, 2011, 07:01 PM New awesome guitar is new and awesome. Congratulations, I'm really happy for you! I love p90s.
Thanks, and P-90s really are the real deal, aren't they? The more I play P-90 guitars, the more I think I might not need a Telecaster anymore...uh, did I say just that out loud?
Dan R January 10th, 2011, 07:19 PM Good for you Joe-Bob. I had a Heritage Prospect from 2001 until I sold it recently. Needed the money. It was a fine guitar, it had humbuckers. Funny thing about that one was it was stolen and I found it in a GC a few months later. It looked like a 335, only with a slightly smaller body.
Dan R
Brian Krashpad January 11th, 2011, 09:13 AM Yum.
Congrats!

jjkrause84 January 19th, 2011, 04:40 PM I've always liked Heritage but they really got it happening as in - I'd rather take that Home than any other doublecut thinline out there...

Me too. I actually still cannot believe how good my Heritage is.
