Kinman tele bridge pickups: AVn-48b vs. AVn-60b?

Kinman pickup enthusiasts (or anyone else who wants to comment!),

I'm currently looking into both of the Kinman tele bridge pickups: the AVn-48b (from the Broadcaster set) and the AVn-60b (from the 60's Custom set). I'm trying to decide which bridge pickup to purchase for my upcoming tele build.

Specifically, I'm trying to get a pickup that will handle blues well. Both of these pickups can obviously twang out, but that's not the style of music that I'm going for at the moment... instead I'm obviously looking for a bluesier feel.

Does anyone have any experience with these pickups in the context of blues? I'd love to hear your opinions! If it helps to know, I'm planning on pairing the bridge pickup with either an AVn-62 or an AVn-59 pickup in the neck.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I have a Texas Tele with the AVN48 set and a rosewood board partscaster with the AVN60s...........
In the partscaster, the AVN60s are loud, twangy (big time Bakersfield twangy), and louder than the AVN48s in the TT.
The AVN48s, while also twangy, are more midrange oriented.
I would say the 48s are more suited to blues but..........this is my opinion.
And, as far as the loudness diff, I don't know if it's the woods, the necks, or what.........but, the AVN60s are noticeably louder in the parts caster.
I've been tempted to swap them over just to find out but.....never have.
I like both but, I tend to use the TT more, when I need a Tele.....
Name snob that I am, if Fender came out with a RW TT, I'd move the AVN60s into it, and probably play that one more.....Oh yeah, I have 4 ways in both guitars and a TBX tone on the TT.......

Stratohiker,
Since you mentioned that you've got them... Could you give me your general opinion of the AVn-48 pickups as a set? Do they work well with one another? How about the neck pickup, can it get bluesy? I really like that warm, smokey, mellow, bluesy sound that many "scooped" strat pickups yield (like the AVn-62). Do you find that the AVn-48n can create this kind of tone, or is that beyond its limits? Thanks for your help!

If you want scooped, I'd say the AVN60s are more to that realm of tone.
I would say the AVN60 in the neck is "closer" to a Strat neck PU than the AVN48 would be......
Since your building a guitar, and you want that type of tone in the neck, why not put a Strat PU in there..........Put a Tele PU in the bridge.....
Personally, I usually only do the 4th position when I go to the neck anyway (bridge/neck series).............which also makes a powerful sound for leads as well.....
I would say the 48s are more trad. Broadcaster midrangy...which is what I wanted on the TT....
If Fender would ever make a 12 radius rosewood Tele w/trad. hardware....I'd definitely move the 60s over to that, for that 60s honky tonk twang sound....
