If you received an email from scott_nino@yahoo.com about your "item" for sale on the TDPRI Classifieds today DO NOT respond it is a scammer thief trying to steal money from you.

2)is the price firm at all?
3)what is the condition of the item?

Got that one too. I'm glad scammers aren't allowed to have proofreaders - it makes them even easier to spot!

I get these occasionally, responding to my CL listings. When you read all the way thru the offer, it's pretty obvious it's a fraud. The part I like is when it's mention they'll be sending their man to pick up the item.

I found out when I logged out of TDPRI that you do have to be a registered member to respond to ads. SO this guy got bounced.

Oh yeah, they have to join to pull of the gambit. But the folks doing this are well skilled. They spoof their IP address. They are no doubt in Nigeria, but they present an IP address from the US. And, they can choose any IP address they want to spoof. So, I have no way to block them in advance (we have vast portions of African IP's blocked). In fact, until someone here notifies me I'm in the dark on who it is. That's why its so important to notify me ASAP when you see one of the scammer emails.
