My thrift stores around here (Goodwill, Value Village, Salvation Army) never have any good tapes, records or CD's. I've bought a few here and there but it's always 98% of the time junk. If I do find something I'm interested it it's generally scratched. Never really find any proper rock or garage lp's. Are your local thrifts good at all??

I find good ones all the time at thrift stores, you have to go regularly to hit the sweet finds.

The good ones go fast with guys like me out there .

it's the album with "Barbara Ann" on it. very good condition, and still had the photo sheets that were included in the original package. got it for $1 and gave it to a co-worker who is a big Beach Boys fan

Depends on what you consider good! But I agree, 9 out of 10 times when I find something amazing that I've been wanting...I pull it from the sleeve..and see horrible scratches, and I put it back, never fails.

I find a lot of stuff, but I collect pretty weird LPs.

I collect:

The Ventures;
ANY Bluegrass;
Hawaiian albums (Actually Find a LOT of these);
Harmonica albums (The Harmonicats, Larry Adler, Jerry Murhad etc)
(I would love to find this one!

just for the cover!)

Any Tiki themed or Exotica (Martin Denny, etc)
Chet Atkins;
SOME old Country (I have a lot of Country on CD etc, so I tend to only buy old stuff that's not available otherwise)
SOME Western;
(Gene Autry, Sons of the Pioneers, Roy Rodgers)

Soooo...one mans' trash is another mans treasure..
