trappingtexas November 29th, 2010, 06:55 PM I know you guys see a lot of these but here is my tele and first guitar build ever. Thanks to this site and a lot of great people that helped me out I have a killer sounding guitar. The tone is even better than I imagined. I've learned a lot and can't wait to get started on my next.

Mike S. November 29th, 2010, 10:23 PM Very nice. Good grain pattern on your Tele body too.
I'm a big fan of those SD 54's.

bottled November 30th, 2010, 11:16 AM Very cool. How are you finding the SD pickups?

I like the SD's A LOT. They sound great and are pretty quiet. I've been a fan of SD's for a long time. I have a Screaming Demon in an old guitar and two little 59'ers and a Custom Custom in a guitar I had built back in 98. All help deliver great tone.
tele2313 November 30th, 2010, 03:02 PM The body looks awesome. The grain is great. Make me want to make another tele. I think I would use your pictures for a blueprint. :-)
rcole_sooner November 30th, 2010, 03:15 PM Nice choice for the first one. Looks great too!
Flynman December 1st, 2010, 02:18 PM Looks great!! Nice finnish and grain......Be careful this building stuff is very addicting!!
trappingtexas December 1st, 2010, 02:37 PM Thanks for the compliments! Yes this building stuff is addicting. Already have the next two planned. My son wants one built but I'm going to design it for higher output/rock and put a third pickup in the middle position. I also have some killer flame maple veneer I'm going to put on it. I also want to do a relic-ed version in Seafoam Green with a little hotter pups. I have an old 1941 Johnson boat motor that is in Seafoam Green so it's kind of grown on me.
Baaford December 2nd, 2010, 01:09 PM Great finish, well done.
Telenator December 2nd, 2010, 01:10 PM A job well done. That finish is just screaming yellow! I love it.

Thanks! Actually the flash of the camera makes it a little more yellow than it really is but it is pretty yellow.
Bonneybear December 3rd, 2010, 10:01 PM Nicely done.....................do it again.
