had to do it..
I just wanted something more pretty to play my Beatles solo stuff thru.
I can also sing thru it, and record direct out the back or go direct to the PA. $375.00 out the door today at GC.

I got used to the controls faster then I thought I would and was able to program it and dtart finding my settings.

I think I'll keep it..

any fans of these amps here?

I got the same amp about 3 weeks ago from American Musical Supply. It was "scratch & dent" so I got it for $270. I had tried out some other similar amps at GC: Fender Acousticonic, Marshall, Crate. One of the things I liked about the Behringer was that it was easy to get a decent sound. All of the controls somehow do to the sound what I would expect -- not something I've found on all acoustic amps.

Some of the preset effects are on the cheesy side, but most are pretty good if I keep the wet/dry mix real low. And while I haven't tried this yet, there are some presets that put one effect on the guitar channel (say, chorus) and a different effet on the vocals (reverb). And each channel gets its own wet/dry setting.

At the price, I think it's hard to beat and I liked the sound better than the others in the sub-$400 range.

yep after 10 days...

It was not for me... it's twin 8" crapped out before I got up to LIVE room levels, the piezo tweeter was NASTY!

The best one at GC is the 12" Crate Amp,

But I took the cash back.. and got a KUSTOM Profile One PA system... MUCH BETTER!

Don - you did the right thing. Our church bought one for two acoustic guitarists to share (bad idea to start with). The tilt back legs came off, and when the amp was bumped moving it one time, two of the knobs were hit and broke off - the shafts of the pots are plastic. It has a marginal sound and does not have much volume either.

I feel bad cause I recommened it. But it was a good price.

That little Kustom Profile system is a great system isn't it? My buddy who does a single act, asked me to find him a compact, good sounding and yet inexpesive
( sheesh! ) PA. The local place I frequent sold me one for $200.00. He loves it and it works very well for his coffee house type gigs. I liked it so much when I set it up for him that I went back and bought one! This store also has a used 12" Crate amp you describe for $150. That thing is killer.

SWR's acoustic amps are the best I've found in the standalone department. Behringer seems to have some quality of build issues without even getting into how they sound.
