I recently installed a set. I had a Hot Bakelite bridge pup in the drawer for awhile, and Don set me up with a 2324 neck, just like the standard neck pup, but with chromed brass cover. This is Don's fave tele neck pup, and I see why. Major creamy tone, not too dull or bassy, and when jacked up high, as A3 can do, it's darn powerful! Seriously just about as much output as my Barden neck at the same amp settings (although the Barden was a bit lower). Awesome tone. The HB bridge is excellent too, major twang, sassy but sweet. Not as much wiry grind as my previous 2324 bridge, but right up there for twang and spank. Middle position a nice snappy jangle...love it! Seems like he pots more these days, as this is a bit less microphonic, but my previous early 2324 bridge was over the top microphonic: tap lightly on the tuners with a pick and hear it loudly through the amp! These are about the quietest single coils I've ever tried, RWRP too. I really love Don's lower power offerings, as I like steely twang, with lots of jangle and treble for country style licks. But also great for blues and general rock too. Can't go wrong with Don's pups.

Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago. It has been noted a number of times on this forum, but Don is really remarkably helpful and informative when helping to decide which pick ups to go for. I'm absolutely delighted with mine and would recommend them without hesitation. I play a mixture of blues and classic rock, so needed pups equally as comfortable with Black Crowes and early Aerosmith, through to Roy Buchanan-style workouts (not that I am anywhere near that sort of standard, of course). I replaced the original pickups on my 2009 Am Standard Tele. What struck me immediately was the string definition - everything sounded clearer, brighter and more defined, as if each note was more settled in its allotted frequency. Great clean sound, but I really love it when it just starts to break up, with a hint or two of crunch.

But as most people who've tried Don's stuff will tell you, all of his pups are wonderful. 10/10 from me.
