Building a Newport Muddy/Hooker Replica, Advice Needed.

I've been thinking about it for a while and I decided now (because I don't have an acoustic at the moment) it was a good time to put together a Harmony Monterey like Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker used at Newport.

I bought a Monterey Archtop as a base in the same finish. Now I need to finish it off. I basically need a replacement strap button for the bottom, a strip of binding for the neck and a pickup.

Anyone know the exact model pickup used, I'm sure it's a De'Armond of some kind?

Also anyone know a good place in London to get the binding on the neck repaired?

Is there anywhere that sells the same strap buttons online?

I know everyone loves pictures so here is one I quickly snapped on my phone, I'll get a better one when it's all done.

From the album cover pic of Muddy, my best guess is a DeArmond FHC, but his hand is in the way. If you have a better pic of the guitar at Newport, maybe someone could tell for sure. More info on DeArmonds here: http://www.vintagearchtop.com/dearmond.htm

Here's an FHC mounted on my Godin 5th Ave.:

Wow, that is cool!

How does the FHC sound?
