I am looking for a good Bucker neck and bridge combo. I have a SD Antiquity mini neck and Jerry Donahue in 1 guitar and am looking for a different combo for the second. Like to hear some combos you tried or have now and what pots and stuff your using. Thanks

I have a guitar with a SD Lil 59 in the bridge and a Rockfield in the neck. Excellent combo in my opinion.

I like the Duncan '59/Broadcaster or Donahue pairing, but I've always wanted to try a Dimarzio Air Classic/36th Anniversary PAF with an Area Hot T in the bridge. I personally had an Alnico II Pro in the neck with a Lil '59 once and that was versatile; some people dig the Jazz/Lil '59 combo too.

This will be the next pairing I try.

One of my projects had a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack in the bridge position and an Alnico II Pro Humbucker in the neck position. It was great combo.

I'm looking for the same suggestions for my Squier Vintage Modified SH Tele. I think I`ll get the GFS Fatbody (normal version) for the bridge and the Seymour Duncan 59 for the neck...

I just still don't know what to do with the electronics. I will stay with the 500k vol 250k tone and see what happens. Let us know when you decide and how it sounds. =)

Wondering how the NO-Caster bridge matches up with a humbucker?

"I like the Duncan '59/Broadcaster" I am very tempted to try this one. How much different is the broadcaster than the Jerry Donahue? I am looking for the same but different if you know what I mean.

Broadcaster is similar in '50s tone but will be a bit edgier from the Alnico 5 magnets - they'll still have that nice twang but different enough to warrant a purchase.

The Nocaster bridge is paired with a '59 in a lot of Custom Shop Fenders, and I LOVE the Nocaster bridge pickup. That's also a combo I'd like to try out sometime.

Try that one and let me know - that way you'll fuel my G.A.S.!

They use a "Broadcaster" bridge, which I think uses A5 magnets.

The mini in the Hot Rod 52 is a Duncan Vintage Mini. Nocasters are A3.

I run a Duncan Antiquity paired with a Donahue. Before I used a broadcaster for years but the Donahue is fuller yet still twangs in this guitar. One combo I used for a while in a blues band was a Lace strat blue neck pup paired with a Duncan Lil'59 bridge. I had a lot of compliments on that pair but my Antiquity and Donahue work much better for me for what I do. Have fun, Wayne
