I started a thead yesterday about painting a body when it is very hot and dry outside. I wanted to show my current progress. I have a bit of rough texture, or orange peel and wanted to know what you guys think. I also had a couple of spits from the reranch can and was wondering if I should sand those out before continuing. What grade of paper should I use to take care of that? And yes, that is Surf Green.

I will assume your using rattle cans. You might have to color sand before you apply the clear coat. There's quiet a few threads on the finishing process. When it gets hot your finish cures to fast and dose not have time to flow ( level out) you might try to find a cooler places to spray. If you are spraying with a gun you might try adding a retarder to the
finish before spraying. I have found using a retarder to make a world of deference in my finishing. Your guitar dose not look bad at all if anything it's just drying to fast.

There's arguments back and forth about sanding color coats. Lacquer remelts the previous coats forming one layer. I've never sanded color coats due to this. In my experience it's just not necessary unless there is a flaw or a small poodle caught in the finish. Orange peel is pretty much just par for the course with spray cans, and is usually dealt with after the clear coats have cured. Wetsanding will eliminate it. That being said, there's no harm in sanding before clear coats. There is a good risk of sanding thru so be careful if you choose to do so.
