I found an Epi SG Jr on craigslist for my son and it's a great little guitar....

Bolt on!.....and this thing doesn't have a tune-o-matic bridge like the Rondo....

The Rondo looks pretty cool to me.

I like it (I'd REALLY like one of those SG Juniors, though!). I, too, have an Epiphone Junior with a bolt-on neck and it's just profoundly better than I had any right to expect for the price...

The Rondo isn't a TOM, it's an wraparound with intonation adjustment. Which for my money, is even better; I like the simpler look of the wraparound, but want to be able to adjust. Voila!

SX P90 pickups are just the best...very articulate.

I like my Epi LP Jr. Great P90, nice neck and stupidly cheap.

(just as well, 'cos the tuners and jack were stupidly cheap also..........)

You're right...it's not a real TOM but you can change the length of each string individually on the Rondo.

I have a stock Les Paul Junior and I can't change the length of each string individually.

I think the Rondo looks like a fun & functional P-90 guitar.

That cutaway shape is just not attractive to my eye. Minus two more points for color and bolt on. Still pretty cool tho.

Me either, first thing I did was look to see if they offered another. Sadly, no. But in my recent shopping for a P90 guitar, this would have pushed all my buttons except the "pretty colour" button if I hadn't bought something else already.

Tim, how's that vibrato holding up for you? I bought one around the same time as you and that project went by the wayside, so I still have it. And now this Jr. shows up... dang!!

I put one of those vibratos and a roller bridge on my Ibanez Jet King.Works like a champ.

I've got an Epi LP Jr. that my wife bought for me years ago. I think it cost $99 new, and it's one of my favorite guitars. It doesn't go out on gigs, but I keep it in my studio and it's ended up on quite a few of the recordings I've done.

Funny, though - I wanted one of those SG Juniors instead (Sam Ash ran a special sale of both guitars at the time), but the store was all out so I got a TV Yellow Jr. instead.

Rondo Music offers about a kajillion models, but with no way to organize them except to sift through 19 pages on their website. As an information professional, this drives me nuts. Hell, as a potential customer it drives me nuts!

I think it should be mandatory for everyone to own a P90ed guitar whether or not it is bolt on, bridge only or cheap. Those pickups just scream. Saying that I've seen regular modern Les Paul Juniors for sale dirt cheap, I'd look for one of those first. Not a patch on the originals, but then they don't cost five grand.

If it was me, that's the one I'd go for, much better looking guitar. I'll come to refin's defense regarding the bolt-on comment. SOME guitars should not be bolt-on: Les Pauls and SGs are the first two I can think of. They just look wrong without a set neck. Just my opinoin; doesn't mean bolt-on is inferior to set neck, I just don't like it on certain guitars.

Higgy, this cheap vibrato works at least as well as a Bigsby. I use 10s and have no tuning issues with it at all!

I agree completely (I was mostly making joke). LP or SG? Set neck or no sale. I've seen semi-hollows with a bolt-on neck, and that seems wrong. Though I owned one (Vox Super Lynx) and it was a fine guitar. With a Jr. I would prefer it, but it's not a deal breaker. The colour on this one is more of a deal-breaker to me. I agree that the AD201s look way better, but if they offered the SX in a different colour I'd be all over it. 1 p'up, intonatable wraparound, yeah baby.

Yeah that IS weird. Every guitar in their roster is just a little off to me. This one included, for that reason.

SX P90 pickups are just the best...very articulate.
