adding a "cocked wah" cap to my esquire

I currently have my esquire set up with the following wiring:

rear position - no tone control (volume only)
middle position - tone control + volume control
front position - kill switch

I'd like to install a cocked wah cap for the front position. I tried this and wired a .0033 cap from that lug to ground and unforunately that position remained a kill switch.

What am I doing wrong? Wouldn't wiring a cap in on that position to ground be all I'd need to do?
