Here's a little bio on a great writer, who is also a helluva picker and singer, in his own right. Wayne Kemp began his career at age 16 playing guitar in a local Tulsa, Okla.,club. In 1965, after a mutual friend introduced him to George Jones, Wayne began playing lead guitar for George and then for other artists such as Patsy Cline, Red Sovine and Conway Twitty. In 1967, Wayne battled back from a terrible automobile accident to play guitar again. In1968, after Conway Twitty recorded "The Image Of Me," Wayne signed with Tree Publishingin Nashville. Into the '70s and throughout the '80s, Wayne enjoyed hits such as Twitty's "That's When She Started To Stop Loving You" (Top 5 in 1970), Johnny Cash's "One Piece At A Time" (#1 in 1976), Johnny Paycheck's "I'm The Only Hell (My Mama Ever Raised)" (Top 10 in 1977), George Strait's "The Fireman" (Top 5 in 1985), and Ricky Van Shelton's "I'll Leave This World Loving You" (#1 in 1988). Additionally, his song "Love Bug" has been a Top 10 single twice — once for George Jones in 1965 and again for George Strait in 1994. jMB8xwLKScU tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:12 AM z84Mv67Pwnc&playnext=1&list=PL6569B63736841B8B tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:13 AM _HfbRdclvkM tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:16 AM mDdHn-c1hXw&feature=related tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:17 AM tZ1U4SUkyko tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:24 AM oSo-AIEULVg&feature=related tele salivas April 30th, 2011, 07:41 AM  Zdh_BVMy-yk tgfmike April 30th, 2011, 11:40 AM Webb Pierce - Don't Do It Darlin' _sp4MUX5dtI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sp4MUX5dtI DOGMA Dunn April 30th, 2011, 12:02 PM Del McCoury and his band do some great old time stuff. Her steel player, Dicky Overbey (http://www.yellowroserecords.com/dicky.html), is a living Texas legend... What an amazing player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJKox3E9OUo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ_Nc7h7MTY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAAH0WBkWOo Amber's voice might not have the sheer power of LeAnn Rimes, but who does? Amber gets the job done quite nicely, and besides, her choice of repertoire and pedal steel player more than make up for everything!  Thanks for posting! I would rather hear this lady sing rather over Lee Ann Rimes any day of the week. He was on a bill with the guys and he was feeling pretty good at this point, when he offerred the other two the key to his sound, and success.."I just take a little of ol Ernest here and add a little bit of Acuff, and you put em both together and you get me!" The other two were not amused. Hanks would soon dominate the country music charts. Tubb's style was very different from Hank's, and Acuff was not a honky tonk singer or writer, hard to see anything but an indirect influence. Also, no disrespect to Roy or Ernest, but Hank was miles ahead of them as a singer.
