Next week I may have some photos (finally getting the camera cable for
the iPad).
Who loves Lowdens'?
I do.
I have a 95 O23, Walnut and Cedar with a single Acoustic Lens and a
Sunrise Mag pup.
A 97 F12, Mahogany and Sitka Spruce with two Acoustic Lens and a
Sunrise Mag pup as well.
You reach inside the soundhole and the braces are as smooth
as a baby's bum!
The Tone will make you cry...

I first saw Michael Hedges playing a Lowden O25C, Rosewood and Cedar.
The O is a jumbo, the F is an auditorium, my F12 is a cannon.

Well....I'd love to be in the Lowden club, but I ain't! I have played a couple (can't tell ya what models though) at a nice shop and was very impressed with them. Sounds like you have a couple of beauties there hotwater!

Thanks! Have you played a Lowden?
They really have a unique voice, very round bass/mid, clear high end.

Beautiful 5 laminate necks.
All wood binding (my O23 has maple, walnut, mahogany, and Pear wood
purfling and binding).
A top loading bridge.
Split bridge saddles.
They're strong, yet lightweight, joy to play...
I must confess, my Squier CV Thinline has been getting more play time.

If you play fingerstyle you will love Lowdens.
George Lowden makes them in Ireland.
Several years ago, he had to go to court to be able to put his own
name on the guitars he builds.
Richard Thompson and Pierre Bensusan have Signature models.

We could change it to The Lowden Appreciation Society.
Get some nice leather club chairs around the fireplace.
A nice crystal decanter with an aged single malt.
It's the Peat!

Mark Davis is up there with the CV thread with a gazillion hits, and my lonely Lowden Appreciation Society has less than a handful of replies. And that's me writing most of the replies.
Seriously, Lowdens are great guitars. I have a new CV thinline, I love it. So I
understand. I thought the players from Ireland would kick the ball around awhile.
I need to talk to Mark, and have him green light my threads. Mark?

I dont tell people to go to the thread they do it all on their own.

The CV teles are just so popular they get alot of action in the message bases.

Hey, I'll talk about 'em! I have a 95 O12 and love it. Best sounding acoustic I've ever heard and luckily it's mine! Really fantastic guitars, I've been dreaming about getting a Baritone model one day but that will have to remain a dream for a long long time. One day though, I'm determined. Love Lowdens!

O25 here, best Acoustic tone I could find after years of searching. The overtones make it super easy to tune by ear.

Well here comes one more folks- I have a November 2011 made left handed Lowden S32. It is a magical instrument with a voice that belies its smaller size. Fantastic playing and sounding!
