What other guitars/amps/equipt. do you use?

Telesaurus

Curious....
Not the ones that sit around & collect dust, but the one's you use on a regular/semi-regular basis....

1)What's your main guitar?(Tele or not)
2)Your Backup?
3)Any other non-Tele guitar?
4)Main Amp/system?
5) Effects

Me:
1) Fender Floyd-Rose Strat w/ EMG-SA pups
2) Fender Nashville Tele
3)Taylor 310CE, Olympia A/E
4) Fender Cybertwin or Rack:Peavey 50/50, Carvin Quad-X, Alesis QuadRaverb...etc.
5) Digitech RP2000, Boss GT-6. Always use a Chandler Tubedriver for OD.

MIM 04 Tele into either a GV40 (pignose 40 watt one channel no reverb), a Cyberdeluxe (Deluxe Reverb, 59 Bassman or Vox models with a little reverb and delay) or a Musicman rd50 1x12 combo lead channel with reverb.
For some of the mellower music I will use my Ibanez AF75 artcore hollow body with the same amps. No pedals, yet, I am planning on getting a wah to give the rhythm licks some oompf. Have a series 10 LP imitation as a a backup. Sometimes go into the board at church with no color :( and sometimes into the portable pa/keyboard amp. :?

Like all three of the amps depending on what I'm doing. Find that the Pignose sounds best when its raining :?:, the music man has great dynamics but the reverb and channel switching don't always work and it has only one good sound that is loud or louder. The cyber is the favorite of our choir director and my co bandmates.

Number one guitar is a modified MIM tele..#2 is s Jimmy Vaughn strat...#3 a Peavey T-60, again, modded a bit..then to a Boss ME-50, to a Traynor YVC20(if in the sancuary/Peavey Classic 50 212 if not)..The amp is miked into the house sound system.
With either amp I use a Danelectro Equalizer in the effects loop of the amp..

1. Main guitar - stock standard Tele
2. back up - stock standard Strat
3. Others - acoustics: Seagull S-6+, Seagull Grand, Regal round neck resonator, Fender Mandolin. The acoustics get very little play tiime since I bought my electrics
4. Amp - Fender Deluxe 90 DSP
5. effects - I play clean w/ no effects most of the time. I only use the DSP effects on my amp, and mostly the flanger.

Telesaurus - how dop you like that Nashville Tele? The thought crossed my mind the other day that I might need one :D I prefer my Tele, but I like the "in between" settings on the Strat for fingerpicking sometimes, and I have found myself using the middle pick up some lately.

Peter - how do you like the Artcore? I would like a hollowbody, but of course can't afford a Gibson. I like the looks of the Ibanez hollows and semi-hollows, but I have avoided buying Chinese made instruments so far.

I love it! It's kinda like the best of both worlds. It does a really good Strat"quack", in-between setting, plus the Tele bite in the #1 position. I also like the #4 position for finger-picking. It crystal clear, but doesn't have the harshness that the #5 position.(neck pup) has. It is a bit heavier than any of my other Teles & Strats.
I have gotten so use to the Floyd-Rose on the Strat, I am checking into the possibility of having one installed on a Nashville Tele. I'm not quite sure how it would affect the tone though. I'll probably search out a good used one to do that.
Even though i love it, you might want to check one out personally B-4 buying...you know how the personal taste thing goes.

Great bang for the buck, wonderful neck and a nice "woody" resonance. I have it strung with flatwound 12's at the moment and the bass strings really sound good. Not much bending with the heavy strings but great for hymns. The pickups are not very hot but for what I do its great. You can hear it unplugged so if you want to practice quietly its great. This was my favorite guitar of all time until I made the "mistake" of playing a tele.

I play for a small congregation in a small building, and usually the band is keys, piano, and my guitar. Occasionally we'll add other pieces, too.

For us, "fullness" is more important than "bite", so I usually play my Washburn AE10, a single-cut full hollowbody with a great sound. Most of the tone comes from attack and fingers - I learned that listening to Tommy :D

I often run a BOSS chorus pedal for shimmer, and usually go right through the board (an old Sun which I've set up for my tastes). A simple set up for a simple setting!

Of course, when it's rock'n time out comes the tele....

1. 72' Custom Tele RI - Nice full humbucker tone along with the biting tele bridge! I love the in between for a lot of rhythm parts. I've found my electric soulmate with this guitar.

2. Backup, not here!

3. Taylor 110 with Fishman Matrix I - an AMAZING acoustic for the $$, and mates surprisingly well with the fishman.

4. 1967 Ampeg Gemini I - 20 watts, 1x12 speaker. Amazing clean tone that reacts very well to my effects. The cornerstone of my electric sound.

5. Pedalboard as follows: Crybaby Classic Wah (with fasel inductor) a good wah for non boutique; Analogman SD-1/808 for heavy-ish rhythms & lead boost; Analogman TS-9/Silver, a beautiful overdrive, very natural to your original tone; Boss CE-3, a good replacment for my dead CE-2.

Thats my setup, for this week.

Guitars:
American Deluxe Telecaster and a Garrison G20-CE acoustic. The more medative the song, the more likely I'll play it on the Garrison in a fingerstyle manner. The more P&W'zy the song, the more likely I'll play it on the Tele, strumming chords and filling in with arppegios.

Setup:
The Garrison is plugged into a Fender Acoustasonic Jr. The amp's stereo line out is routed through Y connectors to an Alesis Nano Compressor. The compressor stereo out is routed through another set of Y connectors. One side of the Y's goes back to the Acoustasonic's stereo line in, and the other half of the Y's go to the main board. Placed in front of me and pointed at me, the Acoustasonic is my personal guitar monitor.

The Tele is plugged into a Berringer V-Amp 2. The V-Amp stereo out is plugged into the other half of the Y connectors on the Nano Compressor input.

As a result, the Acoustasonic's pre-amp controls the Garrison's tone/effects, and the V-Amp controls the Tele tone/effects. The compressor and the Acoustasonic's power amp get the signal from both guitars.

I really love this setup. The Tele with the noiseless pups, and the S-1 switching (turned ON and the tone in the detent/OFF position, I get a sound kind of in between the normal Tele twang and the acoustic). On any Sunday, I'll use 3 or 4 pre-programmed settings on the V-Amp. The Garrison/Acoustasonic combination is simply fantastic! Lastly, the Nano Compressor, in addition to being stereo, provides much more control and monitoring than what's availiable on a pedal.

Gosh, just talking about it gets me so excited, I think I'll go practice Sunday's set!

1) Main guitar is my Fernandes 60s Tele copy with a set of Dimarzio Twang Kings.

2)Backup ? My Yamaha Pacifica 112 with Virtual Vintage Neck Pups and Duncan JB Bridge humbucker.

3)Any other non-Tele guitar? Still yet to used my acoustics or ES336 copy. Don't know how to amplify my acoustic at the moment.

4)Main Amp/system? Vox Valvetronix 15 is a nice little baby that does it all for me.

5) Effects are all from the Vox.

Yes fschebor, all these talking does make you want to play. That's what I like about this forum.

Telesaurus,

My Nashville Tele should arrive any day now - I caught a deal on a black one w/ rosewood fingerboard from AMS - $429, no shipping. I'm stationed overseas, so I don't get to try out anything - 45 day return policy, so if I don't like it - or there is something wrong - back it goes!

3)Any other non-Tele guitar? Fender Robert Cray Strat
4)Main Amp/system? SFDR, or 2x6V6 Champ in a head box, on a closed 1x12 with a Celestion blue alnico. Closed cab now because the sound guy is complaining about the sound dispersion of the open cabs.

6) Play bass sometimes with a Lakland 55-01 or a homebrew repro Pbass for a rootsier tone.

Yes!! Much to my wifes chagrin, I seem to keep bringing things home. Then, after she complains about all the guitars, she will find one in her travels and bring it home! I've educated her on what to look for and she does an outstanding job.

Believe it or not, I've sold quite a few things over the last year and I really need to sell a few more. I've never been a collector so to speak, but I've been blessed to come upon some fantastic deals.....and I can't pass em up! And yes....I do have a huge bed! I'm 6'5" and ear size 17 shoes, so I need a VERY large bed!!

4)Main Amp/system? Line 6 POD 2.0-->direct
5) Effects? MXR Dynacomp before the POD; DOD FE65 Chorus for the acoustic channel-->direct

Both channels sub-mixed into a Behringer MX602A mixer--> direct box-->main board. We have a good monitor system with someone running the monitor board during the song service.

I switch between an American Standard Fender with Bill Lawrence pups and a mid 80's Ibanez Roadstar II (the one designed by Steve Lukather).

Amps of choice are an old Music Man RD 50 with a twelve and a Peavey Classic 30. But for sheer performance in a crunch, and a host of great sounds as well as just about as light as a lunch box, I pull out the Roland Cube 30. I know it's solid state but my, oh, my, it sure makes some nice sounds.

For acoustic work God has blessed me with a Taylor 410 w/a Fishman pup and an outboard preamp as well as an early 80's Ovation Custom Legend.

I'm close to 50 so I still pull out the occasional pedal - late 70's MXR Distortion Plus and a Phase 100 also early 80's Ibanez Chorus and Delay.

My favorite ax, though, is the sword of the Spirit.

1) Cutom Made Koa Thinline Tele
2) Backup is Squier Custom with Gibson 57's and pots
3) Fender Blues Deluxe 4x10 and a Fender Acoustic Jr.
4) Martin DC-1E and a Baby Taylor
5) EB Volume Pedal -> Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah -> Fulltone FullDrive 2 -> Keeley Rat -> TS9 Clone (i built) -> Demeter Tremulator -> Phase 90 Clone (i built) -> Analogman Clone Chorus -> Line 6 DL4 -> MXR Microamp Clone (i also built).

I dont spend a lot of money on guitars so all of it goes to my pedals. all tru-bypassed

Hey wally...did you ever get the Nashville Tele? Review?

I got it, and most weeks I would tell you it is my "new #1" - I get on a Strat kick about one week out of every 6-8 weeks.....

Anyway, I love it and got it just in time; the 3 way switch on my Standard Tele died... or there is something wrong with the bridge p/u, since I get no sound in the bridge and middle settings.

I really like the pickups and being able to get the "in between" Strat settings. I had been using my Strat for most fingerpicking. Not surprisingly for me, when I'm not fingerpicking I still use the neck pickup about 95% of the time. The bridge pickup is much better than on my Standard Tele - better than on my Standard Strat too, just something about having access to a tone control knob I guess :D

The only problem I have had with it is that the string spacing is slightly off - the high E is a little too close to the fingerboard which wouldn't really be a problem except that I am used to vintage frets, and with the medium jumbos being higher I have had some problem with sliding the high E off the side. I actually think it is due more to a narrow neck with big frets than the string spacing.

Telesaurus

That's good to hear. I love mine & the only reason it's not my #1 is that I've gotten use to using the Floyd-Rose on the Strat for mild chord vibratos. I thinking about getting another Nashville & installing a F-R. I'm not sure how it'll affect the sound.
I actually found that my NTele has more of the Strat 'quack" than my Strat does! I like the crystal clear sound of the NT & it works good with the OD & effects that I use.
The only negative, for me, is that the majority of the volume comes on between 7-10 on the volume control.

1. My #1a guitar is a Godin LGX3, my #1b guitar is a
G & L ASAT Special.
2. Back up? either my ASAT or my Gibson Les Paul Special.
3. I also own a Washburn HB35 upgraded with Gibson 57' Classic pickups.
4&5. When I'm at home (or home church) I use a Mesa Boogie F-30 head combined with a Marshall 30th anniversary 1912 cabinet. I also use a Boss GT-6 in the loop. When I'm away from home I use a Roland Jazz Chorus 77 with a Hughes & Kettner Tubeman or Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive up front. With both setups I use a volume pedal as well.

as far as amp, all i got is a blues jr and i believe that's about all the amp i'll ever need! these little rascals are LOUD! and i can get all kinds of sweet inversions and perversions of tone out of it. Uh, i meant 'perversions' only in the sanctified sense, of course...

My only guitar is a parts-o-tele (Saga neck, alder body, Broadcaster and Vintage stack SD pickups, etc.)

I have two Vox Valvetronix: 15w for P&W at church; 50w for missions, jails, bigger places, secular jobs, etc.

I only use effects at home, or goofing around at rehearsals.

Generally just set up for a touch of Bluesy "edge" (kinda a "AC-30 w Tele" tone, y'know?).

Otherwise pretty clean mostly, especially for Jazz gigs.

My setup is pretty meager compared to some of you guys, but here it is anyway.

Main Guitar: MIM Nashville w/ 3 brass saddles and Duncan Vintage '54 in the bridge position. Strung with .12 gibson flats.
Runner up: Washburn J-6 Montgomery (although I like it more and more each day)
Acoustic: Martin DX1k

Amp: '75 Twin Reverb - Essentially stock and totally happy with it.
Runner up: Blackline Bandmaster head w/ 2X12 cabinet loaded with some ancient CTS's.

Effects: I occasionally use a stock DS-1 if I need a little more push. I have a box of other effects that are little more than toys at this point.

I have numerous other amps and instruments, but these are the most used.
Cheap and simple, but it gets me where I wanna go.

Hi everyone,
I'm currently doing 2 separate stints w/ P&W
bands. In one I'm the only guitarist & it's strictly acoustic.
For this I use primarily my Taylor 814CE. (sometimes
my 12 string when necessary) I run these directly into the house PA w/ a bit of chorus that is tapped into the channel via inserts.
For my electric gig I use an A/B set up for my amps.
(the room is huge & stage volume is never an issue)
My clean to mid gain tones are from a Matchless HC30
into a 2X12 loaded w/ a V30 & a G12H30. My high gain tones are a Fargen Mini Plex into another 2X12 loaded
the same as the other.
The guitar I use varies depending on the mood & style
of selections on a given Sunday.
You can see some pics of my rig in the link below.

7 Guyatone md3 micro delay
Tuner off of the volume pedal “tuner out”

Strings & Things:
Elixir nanoweb 10s
Monster Jazz & Rock cables
George L’s solderless cables
.73 Dunlop Ultex picks
Heet Sound Plus E-Bow

All of it gets used--but the tele is probably used most, and the Orange with the Fender Reverb is becoming the main amp. Of the pedals, the Mesa, delay, volume, and wah see the most action. I use Ebow on a lot of songs as well.

I'm always changing stuff up.... This morning was a home brew strat,... some kind of light body (black), mint guard, a Warmoth neck (a bit too flat on the radius for me, rosewood), a set of pickups from a MusicMan Albert Lee, traditional 6 screw trem. This goes through a Klotz cable (yes, you can really hear the difference w/ a low capacitance cable) into a Timmy, into a Menatone Blue Collar (skinny guy w/ saw), into a DOD Performance Series Flanger (18V, rich, lush, smooth... better for this stuff than my ADA and ancient EH) into a DD-20, into a AD-9 into a Marshall 20w Bass head, into a Mesa 1x12 recto w/ EV SRO. Did a new tune named, "Indescribable", Chris Tomlin's "Famous One" (thus the flange), Tommy Walker's "How Could I But Love You" (more flange, but could have used a chorus), a hi octane version of Joyful Joyful... You've One my Affection, and some vocal solo thingy that on the recording sounded like an '80s power balad... Hopefully we brought it up to date a bit.

At church I go straight into the board after passing through a pedalboard the team has dubbed mission control, so you get the idea. I've recently fallen for the PodXT Live and will be bringing that in shortly. Our sanctuary is WAY to lively to use live amplification, unfortunately.
Otherwise, I use a Carr Rambler or a Carr Mercury depending on the call.

Outboard Gear:
Here's the current "Mission Control" layout...
Boss Tu-2, Keeley modded Boss BD-2, Barber Direct Drive, Keeley modded Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, Keeley Compressor, Line 6 Tap Trem, Line 6 DL-4, Line 6-MM-4, MIJ Boss Ce-2 Chorus, Boss Ge-7, Boss Rv-3 Reverb all powered by an Aspect Labs JuiceBox.

My rig is in my sig...everything is stock except the tubes in the Hot Rod, upgraded powertubes to a better Russian model and new sovtek preamps...other than that everything is stock, and sounds great and works fine. Looking to add several new pedals when I get the cash, but I'm 16 with no job, so that may be a while. Oh yeah, my board right now is homemade, pegboard, and I use cable ties to tie the pedals down. Carry it in a rubbermaid container with some towels above and below it, cables and w/e else I need on top of the board. Works until I get a more permanent collection and get a nicer board. Everything except the Addrock is powered by a Godlyke PA-9.

I play 3 difft styles right now, but here is my fave setup:

a 335 knockoff (ultra-cheap, ultra hacked)
Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket Reverb (hacked, telefunken 12ax7, jj el84, rehoused in 1x12 with Weber Cali)

that is sweeter than honey for hard rock, jazz, blues...

switch the 335 for my Saga tele kit (all hardware + neck pickup upgraded) and it's killer for a whole 'nother group of styles

that amp with either one of those guitars is a dreamy combo. i can't see every parting with any of them.

i have a versatility-oriented, catch-all strat with basswood body and maple/rosewood neck, duncan JB bridge, duncan lil' 59 bridge model in the neck, handmade middle, wired with the middle removed from the tone controls for ultimate strattwangification. A lot of people want to know where to buy an "Ibanal" b/c of that guitar - LOL. i'm not as turned on by that guitar, but i'd take it over anybody else's i know, save one or two

second fave amp is a Traynor YCV with an eminence [greenback knockoff]. that's pretty sweet. that amp takes pedals 10x better than the MB, so that's what i take if i need versatilty but i'm not quite ready to stoop to digital.

backup amp is a Roland Cube 30. either the MB or the Traynor is usu the main rig. backup gittar is plugged into the Cube 30, ready to go, should drunks stumble/splatter across my pedal board mid-song.

always-take effects:
vol pedal
homemade booster
delay (any non-digital sounding, at the moment H20)
od/dist to taste for context

This is kinda the core of my gear.

My main 'home' guitar is my CIJ 52 RI Tele. It's pretty much all I play at home and jamming with friends.

For the type of stuff my band plays, I need something a little more versatile, and I switch 'main' guitars often. Right now I am using the second guitar from the left which is a Godin LGP90. P-90's give me all the tones I want and the guitar is amazing quality.

The blue guitar was my main guitar for years and still would be, but I worry about it too much at shows. It's a 1981 Dean E'Lite Deluxe. It's the most perfect sounding, and feelign guitar I have ever played and I consider it completely irreplaceable.

The Strat is my backup guitar for shows and stuff. It's a 1992 MIM. It's got an amazing neck on it. Unfortunately the electronics have gone to hell over the years and I would rather put money into my Tele then it. It's a total 'beater' guitar.

The first amp is a Traynor YVC50 sitting on a Traynor 2x12 Extension.

The second amp is my 'practice' amp. It's a 1975 s/s Univox amp. It sounds amazing clean, but hasn't got enough power for playing live.

main guitar: Hamer Archtop Studio
backup: Washburn Laredo
amp: Marshall JCM 800 4210 (1x12 combo)
pedals: compressor/sustainer (for boost)

I'm going to try out my Lindert. I keep thinking I should put a middle pickup in the Laredo or just get a Thinline, but I'm also not completely happy with an 80-pound, 50-watt tube amp in a rather small church. On the other hand, we're going to be opening an outdoor amphitheater. I'm so confused.....

When I'm playing lead guitar:
1)What's your main guitar?(Tele or not): 1971 Univox Badazz w/ Hi-A Bartolini in Neck and a SC pup in the bridge. Weird I know, but it does the job. Hand me down guitar.

2)Your Backup? None at the moment, getting me a mexi-american tele soon so the Uni is going to be the backup.

3)Any other non-Tele guitar? Taylor Big Baby w/ LR Baggs Ibeam.

4)Main Amp/system? Traynor YCV80Q 4x10" 80-watts TUBE! via House/Main speakers

5) Effects: Boss OD/DS OS-2 (from time to time), Boss CS-3 compression sustainer, Boss NS-2 noise suppresor (not really an effect), Boss PH-3 phase shifter
I know... no delay pedal yet. I'm a poor college student.

Curious.... Not the ones that sit around & collect dust, but the one's you use on a regular/semi-regular basis....
Hi all, I'm a newbie. This seemed like a good thread to begin on. I've been playing for 40 years; Rock, R&B, Jazz, C&W. The last 11 primarily for the Lord. I also play in a local community jazz big band made up mostly of college and hot High School aged players; my son plays lead and 2nd 'bone. He and I also get together with a group of (Christian) Bluegrass players every other week.

1)What's your main guitar?(Tele or not) Depends on the style of music.
a. P&W - a 1 of a kind custom Zion RT Classic; HSH - JB, JB Jr, JB
b. Jazz - '72 Gibson L5-CES
c. Bluegrass and Acoustic P&W - '93 Taylor Dan Crary Signature Model
2)Your Backup?
a. P&W - '67 Telecaster (original owner) and used for the now-infrequent Southern Gospel (or C&W) date.
b. Jazz - My late Mom's 40s or very early 50s Regal acoustic archtop with solid carved spruce top and back. Used frequently for big band rehearsal and my main home practice guitar.
3)Any other non-Tele guitar?
I have a very sweet sounding StewMac kit A-style mandolin, does that count?
4)Main Amp/system?
a. P&W - Rivera Sedona (I frequently play acoustic guitar for P&W)
b. Jazz - Evans AE-200 (AE=archtop enclosure)
(fully loaded 60/100 Mesa Boogie MKIIB is my practice amp and used for any non-jazz electric dates outside of church)
5) Effects
Alesis MidiVerb 4 with a Lake Butler RFC1 MIDI Mitigator foot controller for plates, delay, and occasional Chorus & Flanging. But I forgot how good my Zion sounds through my Sedona with no effects until praise team rehearsal this week without the MV4. I really liked the sound and may just go cold turkey on FX.

Look forward to learning from you all and sharing.

I play a FotoFlameTele 1996,with Fralin pickups neck and bridge. I also play....don't laugh...it's a fine guitar after major modifications,...a Squier Strat, with Dimarzio Virtual Vintage pickups in the neck andmiddle, and dual Semour Duncan Custom designed pickups slanted to the bridge. I play a Takamine ESG-C9 for acoustic guitar. I play thru a 410 Fender Hot Rod Deville amp. I use the Korg a3 and the Roland GP100 both for my processor. I get a Brent Mason type of tone. I play country and Gospel.

Hey guys! I'm pretty new here and didn't find this place until I scrolled down. I love this place and I really like Fenders - Strats and Teles. Anyway, here's what I play:

1)What's your main guitar? Toss up right now between my 50th Anniversary Am Deluxe and my just acquired '94 James Burton Tele (need to play it more to see)
2)Your Backup? MIJ Fender Strat, Contemporary Standard with Fralin Blues Specials
3)Any other non-Tele guitar? G&L Legacy, Heritage H-157 LP, Takamine EF-349C and Ovation Legend
4)Main Amp/system? Either, '69 Fender Bandmaster Reverb or Traynor YCV40. I have a Fender Champion 30 DSP for practice
5) Effects? Korg DT10 Tuner into Dano Surf N Turf Compressor into Radial Tonebone Classic into Dano Fish N Chips EQ into a Dano PB&J Delay. I also have a Keeley modded Blues Driver and a V-Amp 2 that are not on my board.

Should probably ask if you guys play rhythm or lead w/ your teles?

I'm trying to find a good (electric) guitar to play rhythm with. I usually take over on the heavier rocked out worship songs. Not sure if the tele I want (thinline humbucking) will do me well there.

lytener, I play rhythm and leads with my teles. I have not had a need for humbuckers. My opinion is that the bridge single coils just cuts thru the mix much better than hb pickups, Specially on a tele. We play some Tommy Walker, Chris Tomlin , Chapman ( He's a tele guy) and others. Some songs require a heavy distortion, (I use pedals) and the tele can handle it all. Thats the reason I started playing teles in the P&W band. The guitar can go from mellow to driving to a very agresive sound very easy and it works on a worship band setting.

Guitar- I use an Agile AD2300 Jr (LP Jr copy - P90 pickups). I'm in the process of wiring up an Agile AL2000 (LP copy) with coil tapped humbuckers for a wider choice in sounds from one guitar.

Other guitars - 1973 Les Paul Custom, MIM Tele, Peavey Predator (Strat copy), Agile AL2000, Epi acoustic

Amps - church = Vox AD15VT, home = modded 70's VibroChamp

Effects - church = tuner + effects in the Vox, home = Digitech RP-7, Boss OD3, Boss DD5, Boss Super Chorus

I leave the Agile AD2300 and the Vox amp setup at our church at all times. That way, I don't have to lug anything around so I can leave the truck at home and ride my motorcycle. I just got that MIM Tele though and I really liking it, so I might get another for church at some point.

4)Main Amp/system? Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb sounds lovely but thinking of getting a Univalve or Matamp
