Hello!

I just came around this wonderful tune by Eddie Hazel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er64v5sxDgA

How does he get that wonderful wah sound (Especially the intro)?!... Yea it's probally a standard wah but.... I use a WH10 which I'm very fond of, but which wah can give me these kinda tones? .. I wondered if it is combined with a phaser??

I would not bet but my guess is : Dunlop Crybaby Wah, MXR phase 90, Echoplex...
Great tune by the way.

edit : and for the slight dirt, maybe some kind of fuzz with the guitar volume low, or simply a loud Marshall, often a Crybaby make the tone dirtier than it is really !

I'm thinking phaser and delay/echo.

Yeah not sure about the wah, some phasers like the Mu-Tron phasor have that vowel like wah quality. So has my beloved HBE Psylocibe !

Sounds like phaser, wah, and echo to me. Maybe flanger instead of phaser. Those two always confuse me.

I'm aware of the echoplex and surely Eddie used fuzz as dirt back then... but it was mostly on the wah kinda sound I was confused.
