"Back" to Basics

I've been playing guitar off & on for about 20 years now. Purely as a hobby. I never had any lessons, and don't read music. I only know what I've picked up on my own here and there.

Recently, I've been wanting to get more serious about my playing, and maybe start gigging again. I'd like to find some books or other reference materials to teach me some basics I missed out on by not taking lessons. I want to learn the neck better, and be able to intelligently improvise some leads, etc. Maybe some material about scales, inversions, triads, arpeggio's, and such. I play country, blues, and a little rock.

So, anyone have any suggestions for me? I appreciate any advice I can get on this matter.

Thanks in advance!
