I thought I had rode on the welcome wagon but it was not, so hello one and all. What a great place to visit and be part of. Been an acoustic player since day one and now that I have begun to repair and learn to fix them, the old axiom of "I'm gonna get me an electric guitar when I grow up" has come true. Not the growing up part, the get me an electric. I bought a custom body and a finished neck for the beloved Telecaster and I am hooked. I'm retired not by choice but mostly tore up from the floor with enough functioning limbs to pursue this addiction to some wood and parts. I can't believe how this guitar has become an overwhelming obsession. I have a 5 piece maple body. A neck of all maple. Beautiful grain. I have SCN pups and they are hotter'n a 2 dollar pistol. I'm at the what to do about a finish on the body and that has changed many times already, plus the color of hardware too. The neck I have coupled with 1/4-20 machine bolts and inserts, that is about all I've gotten so far. Want to get the heavy duty neck plate from Taipan along with tone bar. I'm taking pics and will post as the steps progress. I'm heading back to the finish forum for the final decision on body. You guys have already been so very helpful and the humor keeps my mind off of the condition my condition is in. God bless you all and look forward to getting to know what seems to be a real bunch of genuine folk...........................Rick the riverpickin' Mad Hatter

Hi all, Thank you for the warm welcome. Thought I would post some pics of the two bedrooms I took over upstairs, actually 3 but I share the third when the wife's friends come to town. I guess the Home Depot is the place I will document the build I have started. I am sure it is going to be a real learning experience, and judging from the quality of most I've seen on here, I better take my time and make everyone proud. Even though I think there may be some things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMM. Rick
P.S. NO SANDING,PAINTING GRINDING,SMOKING,DRUGGING in the studio unless you exit from the window. Oops forgot to download pics. Be back soon
