Favorite Chorus Pedal

Been using the boss CH-1 forever as my Chorus pedal. I mostly use it with the tone cranked all the way up with medium rate and max depth during solos in my 80's cover band and for occasional rhythm parts. i run it mono and it does the job ok. but i'm wondering if there is another chorus pedal out there that is more shimmering in mono. of course most chorus pedals sound the best in stereo, but a stereo rig is not too pratical for most gigs i play. basically looking for something that adds more sparkle to the tone whe i need it. So let me know what your fav chorus pedals are...

MXR just reissued the micro chorus, you might give that a try.
I have used the original for years without any issues.
It is mono only.

One of my faves is the Visual Sound Liquid Chorus. Sounds great in mono and stereo. I've not tried the MXR Micro Chorus yet, but another good MXR-sized pedal is the ModTone Aqua Chorus.

I have an Ibanez CS-9 that I like--but I like my chorus very subtle...

I loved ibanez chorus, but sold it. Very sweet sounding. But for me, chorus is really valuable effect in stereo mode. Mono chorusing sounds like mud for me. Even in good pedals.

The only chorus that ever sounded good to me was the built in effect on a red knob Princeton. None of the stomp boxes could compare to that. I believe a split signal to two amps may get that same sound but I'm just guessing. Dave

Hands down, the best. Wish I still had it.

I love the Dano Cool Cat chorus. I got it for 40 bucks new and it's better than any of the more expensive pedals I've had in the past. It just sounds good and it's so tweakable.

I have two Boss CE-2s from the 80s. I had one modded by Robert Keeley and I really like it-no more low end hum, and a great, ambient, non-syrupy tone. The Dano pedal does the syrupy thing well, if that's what you're after...

I have an original Dano Cool Cat Chorus. It is probably not the best I ever played, but close ( and it only has two knobbies to make it easy on thick folks like me )!

Without a doubt this was my favorite chorus back when I had one of these old Princeton Chorus amps. What a lush and beautiful chorus it was. I keep wishing Fender would release a pedal with this chorus in it!

Currently I own an Electric mistress which is a nice chorus, but it doesn't get that sharp sparkly chorus... more a tighter swirly chorus. It get's that Andy Summers from The Police or Elliot Easton of The Cars sound. It's a more compressed sound. I like it, it's just not the same thing I think of.

My SuperChamp XD has a decent chorus, though you can't control diddley on it.

I have been eying older Boss CE-3's on the Bay, but I just ended up buying an M-13 tonight, so that will probably more than suffice.

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of Chorus Lowell George used... Was listening to 'Feats Don't Fail Me Now' and the 'Ultrasonic Studio' recordings in the car the other day. Rock N Roll Doctor is one of those sweet chorus sounds I'd like to cop a little taste of.

I just purchased an H2O Liquid Chorus. It is mono and stereo capable. I still haven't decided if I love it. I think I feel a little guilty because I also purchased an MXR Flanger and a Vox Wah and spent way more money than I intended. So...I have a bit of buyer's remorse going on.

I have the v.1 H20. It was a nice pedal. I only traded it because it sounded nearly exactly the same as the Dano Cool Cat Chorus I already had. You will likley be happy with it.

This one is easy: Three Hound Chorus made by Homebrew Electronics. Best I've ever played, and I've played a bunch.

I use chorus sparingly but I've had some boutique units and have great satisfaction using the more generic pedals like the Small Clone RI & the Hardwire CR-7. The Digitech sounds fantastic and is very versatile. Much better quality than often associated with this company, too.

Dunlop Stereo Chorus Univibe. Then again, I've never really played around with any other chorus pedal, save for listening to my lead guitarist tinker with his CE-5. I just love the way my Univibe thickens up my rhythm tone

I honestly thing the Cool Cat is the best going...not crazy about the build, but it's so versatile...there's nothing in the chorus family you can't find in there...the mix and EQ make the difference.

My other favs are the Guyatone MC-3, but not very versatile and don't like the volume boost, but can't be beat for warm and organic....and the DOD Ice Box for a more subtle flavor.

Wampler Nirvana Chorus is such an incredible sounding chorus pedal in my opinion. A bit too pricey for me right now, but if I ever get one I will try to save for this. Very versatile and solid pedal.

That's the one I've got too. I use the echo almost always and chorus only sparingly, but it's a nice sounding chorus. I want one of those EH Stereo Electric Mistress pedals though.
