What a fun project!
If you decide to put steel strings on it, half a P-bass pickup is perfect! Or maybe you're going with something fancier like Piezos?

yeah it will eventualy be getting a transducer in it. when i have extra chas floating around.. they are like 20 bucks

telukecaster is easier for me to spell.

i get side tracked and end up putting way to many 'le's on telelele... just don't know when to stop..

How deep is the body, and how thick are you keeping the back?

not sure how thick the body is total, but i kept the back about a quarter inch or so.. same as on my LP.

Are there any plans floatin around for this project? I'm going to have some spare wood available soon... this would be fun. Great work!

I was really interested in doing something like this too. This is a really awesome build so far by the way. I was wondering what other people thought about how thin you could safely rout the sides and back of the bowl to. If I really want thin, like .125 inches, should I just bend sides?
