I just recieved my Blackguard bridge and Tall neck pickup yesterday. They truley do have the early 50's tele magic happening. The bridge pickup is full woody and bright with no ice pick. The tall neck is much the same, and more evenly balanced to the bridge pickup than a standard tele neck pickup. I have owned and played more earely 50's flat poled tele's in my 20 years of playing than I care to admit. Some were great, and some were mediocra at best. One thing people have to remember is as good as these pickups are, they will not make a crappy guitar sound good. Your tele must have good acoustic properties to begin with. I was lucky enough to get in on a run of Alans pickups so my wait,
was 2 weeks (miracle). He di say that if I wanted something other than what he already had wound (not finished, just wound) I would have to wait 6-8 weeks.
