Pickles! New Song by Lizards From Afar

Returning to our goofy roots with this little song about, ya know, pickles....

Also a rare instance in which I've recorded using the forward "neck" position on my Esquire--the overdriven "bassy" line throughout the tune.

Thanks! Unfortunately, our little group has more or less imploded. The guy you hear singing on most of the songs, including Just A Girl, has decided to quit (at least for the time being), so the rest of us have been trying out lead vocals. On Pickles you hear our drummer doing his best Fred Schneider impersonation, hence the B52s sort of sound. On a few tunes I "sing" as well (e.g., Special Boy).

But we record these songs just for fun, so it all works out (haven't played a gig in many years now, although I was hoping....). Thanks for listening. All the songs are available for free download so you can put them on your very on mp3 playback device!

I downloaded Pickles and for the fun of it, added a Vocoder part (not that I thought it needed one, I was just having fun with it).

I'm not going to post it anywhere, but if you're interested, PM me and I'll put it up on a file sharing site temporarily until you hear it or download it. Then I'll delete it from the site.
