Hey everyone,
So a little bit about me... Been lurking here for a little while now, and joined a week or two ago this month. Been playing guitar for 7 or 8 years now, and recently got into the idea of building them. Figure since I am gonna spend the money on a new guitar anyway, why not go ahead and make it exactly the way that I want to.
I got turned to the idea of Telecaster's after a buddy of mine bought one of the Fender Highway One's and I was blown away by it. I've done the Les Paul thing and got turned off by them because I don't enjoy playing a set or even band practice for that matter with a 9-10 lb. block pulling on my shoulder. So then I moved on to Hagstrom. These guys have been my staple the past 2 years, love the stock pickups, love the bodies, but most importantly they have the smoothest necks I have even played in my life. But, after seeing this Telecaster in action I got to thinking I want to try these suckers out for a while and that brings me here now, working on my first build.
This is my first big introduction of myself to everyone on the site. I started a thread not too long back asking for advice with wiring a Dual Humbucker Telecaster that I am building. I wanna upload some pics here within the next couple of days, at this point I am merely waiting on my engraved Neck Plate to come in the mail.
So once I finish this build I suppose my next big project (in the future) will be making a 24 3/4" scale Telecaster so I can pop a Hagstrom neck on there and enjoy the results of that!
