One of my favorite blues players today give a 54 strat a test drive...

That's why I don't get people who want "hot" pickups for Strats (or Teles) for that matter. Why would you want to give up that kind of sound?

I have always felt the same way. I cringe if I ever see an active EMG or something in a strat.
