What happend to the GFS stacked Tele humbuckers?

Just last week (I think), I saw a stacked humbucker Tele bridge pickup on the Guitar Fetish site. I was planning on getting it, but I can't find it today. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Did they discontinue it?

I did find a G&B stacked Tele bridge humbucker on eBay for cheap.

There were other Tele bridge humbuckers on the Bay, but they were either side-by-side or had the rail(s). I'd prefer something that looked like a normal Tele bridge pickup.

Does anyone know anything about G&B pickups? I think they've been used in some of the PRS SE models (that just comes from a real quick google search), but I don't know anything about them.

Had a set of G&B pickups in a PRS SE and actually liked them. Don't know much about them unfortunately other than they were nice.

The Neovin pups are stacked dual coils. I've got one in my Strat in the middle position and I can tell you it is a sweet sounding piece. Here's the page for the Tele http://store.guitarfetish.com/nenofrpifort.html

You know, maybe those Neovins are what I saw. But, I could have sworn they were on a page with all the other Tele pickups.

Are those Neovins stacked? Are they deeper than a regular Telecaster pickup? What about wiring... can you split the humbuckers?

Thanks for the replies.

All GFS pickups come with wiring diagrams. You DON'T want to split anybody's stacked humbucker, as you'll be sorely disappointed with the results. I can't speak for the Tele pups, but I installed a set of Neovin strat pups last summer and they were pretty much the same size. I have installed a Dimarzio Area T neck pickup and it was a bit deeper than the OV it replaced.

Parma. Did you like those GFS Neovin Strat pickups?

Why is that? I'm not questioning you, I'm just curious about how these things are put together. I've split full-sized humbuckers with reasonably acceptable results. Is the difference in the construction/design of the two coils? Do they sound a lot worse than a full-sized humbucker when split?

I absolutely loved the strat set - they were the hot Texas set, I think. Had to set them really close to the strings, but then they were great. Pretty passable position 2 & 4 quack as well.

From what I can tell, stacked pickups are unballanced, i.e, the top pickup has more winds and therefore higher impedance than the bottom. I accidently split a Dimarzio Area T neck pickup and wound up with both coils hitting the ohmmeter at under 5k, IIRC. At any rate, stacked humbuckers are voiced like single coils, just without the noise. So, yes, you could split 'em, buy it would sound like a very low-wind, low-output single coil.

BTW - where in PA? I grew up in Erie.

About 1.5 hours east of Erie - Bradford, PA (home of Zippo lighters).

Are those GFS Neovins wired in such a way that I could have a slider switch to switch it to run parallel?

I just looked at the destructions and there's no mention of parallel wiring. If you PM me a fax number I'd be more than happy to send you a copy.
