party on!!!!!!!

had a little time today and got started by making a template, drew out what i wanted on a nice piece of pine

http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr17/shanesby/guitars/tuff%20puppy/DSC04547.jpg

cut it out

http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr17/shanesby/guitars/tuff%20puppy/DSC04548.jpg

had to widen it a little, i thought 10" was 9-1/2" but it was 9-1/4" oh well

I'm going to have to organise a fund-raiser for Scatter-Lee - the recession has hit the poor guy so hard. He's living in a tiny little wooden shack and he cant even afford a car with seatbelts (or doors, or gears) let alone afford licence plates. Things have gotten so bad that he has to force his poor undernourished children to "catch their own dinner".

How sad!

I can believe it.The second guitar I ever made was a neck thru, and I used a full body template like your doing. The guitar turned out "ok", but as a joke (and on a dare) I threw an old bridge and tuners on the template (thing was ugly, wasn't going to make another),put a piece of 3/8 keystock in it for a truss rod and the oldest, trashiest pickup my music store had in his junk box.Glued a second plank to the body to make it thick enough to route then really just banged it together. The thing sounded so good I couldn't believe it (still can't).I still have it 20 yrs later (guitar long gone). Do yourself a favor, after this contest, string that sucker up.You may never play it in front of anybody......lol, but you'll play it

Guitar is interesting as it only could be considering the source, and nice Bee photos on top of it. I remember you doing some 3/4 or so teles before and that you had some intonation issues. I assume you got that worked out since your doing another mini. Cant wait to see this done.

Hey Scatter Lee, when you cut the nut slot, do you use any kind of jig like a miter box or do you just freehand that too? I'm curious cause I need to do the same thing and am trying to figure out the best way to go about it.
