Hi everyone, I have a Dan Smith stratocaster I purchased new with the serial no. E201851 made between 1982 and 1983. It has the smaller head stock. It has three black pickups with plastic wiring and the bridge pickup has a yellow and white wire going to it. The other pickups have black and white wires going to them. Each pickup has the same no. stamped on it. Is the bridge pickup considered the X1? Is it different from the others even though they all have the same no.s printed on them? Also I just saw someone selling a strat from the same era with the serial no. E211468 but his had the red bobbin pickups with the same yellow and white wires leading to the bridge pickup. Is his any different than mine other than the color of the pickups? His also had the same fender logo and everything else was the same. His is supposed to be original also. I just thought it would be nice to know something about this for when I go to sell mine. Thanks for any information!
