Cool or like oil and water? I snagged a RW Tele neck p/u, my CV has G&L ASAT's in it now, how would the middle sound d'ya think? discuss....

I have several gits with ceramic bridge pups and alnico otherwise.

I've never done it, but seems like it might be pretty cool ... I do know that if I were in your situation, I wouldn't be able to rest until I'd tried it!

That tears it then......in goes the road worn tele neck pickup! I was terrified someone would say that it would upset the balance of nature...

Well, it could tear a gaping hole in the fabric of space/time itself...:shock: but more likely it will just sound a little different. ;-) CS

True, but just a matter of the polarity of the PUPs in relation to each other. Noting to do with the type of magnet of course...

I think it'd be cool sounding - I like Alnico neck pickups and Ceramic bridge pickups in Teles (sometimes...the "new" MIM pickups are great).

I liked the bride PUP in the 2008 Standard MIM I got a few month back, but did not like th eneck even a little.
I need that woody reedy neck tone in my Teles. ;)
Straty works for me too...

I seem to remember some Tonerider P-90s that had both alnico and ceramic magnets in the same pickup. You'd think they would pass laws against that kinda thing...
